The happenings of a wedding night

Part 8

"Hey Shoyo", Noya greeted the boy with a slap on his back.

"Noya!", Hinata was delighted to see his upperclassman again "how are you?"

"I'm great", Noya smiled "it's good to be back in Japan. I missed home".

"Yeah I understand", Hinata nodded "I feel weird every time I leave as well. But it's mostly the people I miss and not the place itself".

"Yeah, that could be it", Noya smiled unsure "I missed a lot of those people here".

"Me too", Hinata agreed "but it's good to see everyone now. Two years have been too long".

"It's weird though. To meet again at a wedding", Noya mused "I mean don't get me wrong I am happy for them but it's still a little weird".

"No, I get it. We are still so young. We could have met anywhere too. Going to a party or a game. But I feel like this here is destiny", Hinata said "I feel like tonight is filled with love".

"Time has done you good, Shoyo", Noya spoke honestly.

"Yeah, my mom said I matured a lot", he laughed and scratched the back of his neck "you know, Kageyama's sister left Japan. She was the only one he had left. He moved in with us after that. I know he needed someone to lean on to. Someone who told him it was gonna be okay. Someone who would stay. I guess I got calmer then. Not calm but calmer. It was a rough time but I am glad I could be there for him".

"I am glad you were there", Kageyama said appearing next to them "still are".

Hinata smiled and took his hand, which seemed to relax Kageyama even more.

"I am glad to see you two are still together", Noya smiled at them "and that you are not yelling at each other anymore".

"Oh we still do that sometimes", Hinata admit "but every couple does, right?"

"Because you are still a dumbass", Kageyama said.

"That's mean, Tobio", Hinata whined and Noya could make out his former personality.

"It's alright because you are my dumbass", Kageyama pressed a kiss to his hairline "I am gonna go get us a drink. Do you want something too Nishinoya?"

"Yeah, a beer", Noya said "thanks".

"For me too please", Hinata told him before he left for the bar.

"He sure changed a lot too", Noya thought out loud "only for the better though".

"We still have some rough times but the good times overweight", Hinata smiled softly "what about you?"

"Oh I am still on my own", Noya told him with a frown on his face.

"Really?", Hinata's eyebrows rose to his hairline "I thought for sure you and Asahi would be a thing".

"Yeah well after he graduated he left for Tokyo and I barely saw him. I never really had the chance to confess to him and it hurt. It was okay not to be able to tell him while I still saw him, but to know I missed my chance hurt. I just wanted to go far away. So I left Japan", Noya explained "But I guess I was that obvious, huh?"

"A little", Hinata chuckled.

"You should confess to him now", Kageyama said as he handed him his drink "if you still feel the same for him that is".

"Have you grown even more?", Noya complained as he had to reach up for his glass "that's just not fair, you know? But you are right and I am already working on confessing to him. We actually came up with the plan of never leaving his side to see what he does but he didn't really react to me since we met here. I don't even know if he feels the same way".

"Oh I am pretty sure he does", Kageyama huffed "I saw him watching you as you were talking to Terushima".

"He looked so jealous it was hilarious", Hinata joined in.

"Really?", Noya cheered up "that's good right? I should go back to him".

"Yeah, good luck", Hinata yelled after him.

"I really hope that Azumane has enough courage to admit his feelings", Kageyama sighed.

"Like you are one to talk. You couldn't even say a nice word to me without having a seizure", Hinata chuckled.

"I do have plenty of nice words for you now though", Kageyama pulled the still much shorter boy towards him by the waist "you look stunning today have I told you that already?"

He pressed a kiss to Hinata's hairline and breathed in the scent of him. He smelled like summer and the beach.

"You look amazing as well", Hinata smiled up at him "I like your hair like that".

"Really? I feel a little weird", Kageyama pouted "since it's shorter I feel so exposed and when it's styled like that my face is completey visible".

"That's not a bad thing you know?", Hinata chuckled "you have a beautiful face".

"You are the only one to ever call me that", Kageyama smiled at him "and the only one that will ever count to me".

"I love you a lot", Hinata stood on his tip toes and reached for Kageyama's neck to pull him into a kiss "even when you are mean and grumpy".

"I love you too", Kageyama kissed him again "even if you are a dumbass".

"Rude Tobio", he chuckled and let himself drop back on his whole feet "do you think that Asahi and Noya will get together?"

"I really hope so", Kageyama smiled "Nishinoya has been there for him just as you have been there for me. He really loves him. If Azumane will not return his feelings or deny them it could seriously hurt Nishinoya. But if he does feel the same they could be really happy together".

"I wish them the best", Hinata sighed.

"You want to follow him and see how it goes right?", Kageyama raised a brow.

"I really do", Hinata frowned.

"Well then let's follow our friends", Kageya released a breath before he took Hinata's hand to go search for Noya and Asahi.
