Chapter 4: Bed of Lies

I wake up the next morning with a lot on my mind. I can't get his face and what he told me out my head. The fact that someone I knew was involved in raping me and he couldn't even tell me.

I climbed out of bed and walked over to my vanity. I sat down and looked in the mirror. My eyes were all puffy from the crying I was doing all night. I stood up and went into the bathroom but Before I could turn on the shower I had forgotten that I had my phone on do not disturb. I grabbed my iPhone and took it off do not disturb. Right when I did that my phone started to blow up with hella messages and from you know who.

12:30 a.m. Future Bae♡♡♡
"Aye, man call me A.S.A.P
1:00 a.m. Future Bae♡♡♡
"Hey I'm sorry please call me we need to talk about this."

I threw the phone down because I didn't want to stand here and read anymore of his lies. I walked back into the bathroom and preceded to take my shower. The hot water felt soothing on my back.

I climbed out the shower and wrapped the towel around my body. I grabbed my phone to see a missed call from my mom. I pressed her number and redialed her.

*Ringing*

"Hello, Hey my little Juicebox how are ya." My mom says with excitement

"Hey mama, how are you and dad." I ask her

"Aww baby me and your father are doing good just wrapping up these case files."

My mother and father were in Atlanta helping the court with this big case or something. I used to read up on it but I had lost interest in reading when I met Maxwell.

"So when are you and dad coming home." I ask my mama
"Hopefully by the time you start your senior year of high school this year. My mama says.

"That's great. Then we can get me ready for prom and everything. I say with excitement.

"Hey mama I am going to call you back later OK. I love you.

"I love you too baby. My mama says

I hung up the phone and threw it on the bed and I went to my closet to find something to wear. I see this white and black Jordan Tee and I grab that and my Taxi 12s out the closet. I walk over to my dresser and grabbed a pair of black tights. My booty looked marvelous in some tights. I walked down stairs to the kitchen and I see my brother Rex and Shawn sitting on the island counter. I give Shawn a deadly stair. If looks could kill his ass would be dead on the kitchen floor.

I walked over to the fridge to grab the orange juice and I walked over to the cabinet to grab a glass cup.
"So what was that about last night." Rex asks.
"Nothing, just something happened. " I tell him

"Well what happen? He asks
"Nothing OK I'm fine." I yell

I walk off and went outside. I hate that I shut my brothers out but what was I to do. Everyone is telling me one thing and the next they lie.

As I'm sitting on the front porch reading through my Twitter newsfeed a car horn honks aloud. I look up to see someone I really didn't want to see anymore. Maxwell climbs out the car and walks towards me.
"What do you want?" I ask him not giving him any time to settle in.

"Look, I was going to tell you.."
"Well why didn't you?" I ask him cutting him off mid sentence.
"It's just I told my boys that I wouldn't tell you. They saw how close we had gotten and they told me not to tell you. Says Maxwell
"So what you were telling me in the car before we went to the party, about how you were "feeling me" was that bullshit. I ask him

"No, I mean no that wasn't bullshit I do care for you. Maxwell says

I honestly want to believe him, I do.

"Who all were there?" I ask him.
"Uh it was me, Wendell, Terrence, Shine, and JRoc. Maxwell tells me.

"JRoc huh that name sounds familiar. " I say.

"Look, Juice I will respect your space but I just want to know will you ever trust me again. Maxwell says
"Trust you, nigga after what you did you lucky I'm sitting here giving your motherfvcking ass the time of day. I say to him with a little grin.

"You can leave now, buh bye." I say to him.

"OK, I deserve this but I'm not giving up on you. Maxwell says while leaving.

I turn to go into my house and see that my waste of space brothers are already turning up drinking and smoking shit. I walk up to the stairs still wondering about that name Maxwell had told me.

"JRoc" I say

"Where do I know that name from"

Flashback

"We killed JRoc's sister" Devon says

Back in Braxton's room

"Oh my God." I say with my mouth wide open.
