A train traveled across the rails in a rocky area with mountains surrounding it, the train's destination was the town of Magnolia and it had been about two hours since its depart from Clover Town. Law sat in one of the seats in the passenger car with Makarov sitting in the seat across from her, Law's hat was dipped forward which covered the top half of her face making it seem as if she was asleep with her arms folded while her sword was placed on the chair beside her.

Makarov stared at her as he thought about the recent events that had occurred. Law was dangerous, he'd seen it himself, she had transformed into something he had never seen before and he had seen many things throughout the years. Law was a survivor; she must've done many things that would traumatize a normal person just to keep herself alive so he wouldn't fault her on her brutal ways against her enemies, even if he didn't like it. Law was a mystery, she was someone with a tragic past that had been dealt a bad hand and with powers he doubted she could even control.

"Makarov-ya..." Law uttered darkly.

"Hm?" Makarov hummed as he was snapped out of his thoughts.

"Stop staring at me it's creepy." Law said as she raised her head and gave him a chilling glare.

Makarov widened his eyes as he awkwardly smiled and rubbed the back of his head nervously thinking he had made his thoughts obvious to her "Me? Staring? No way!"

"I know you may not believe me and I may not look like it but I am actually a girl so stop staring." Law said with a grumpy eye roll.

Makarov breathed out a sigh of relief at those words and chuckled "Do not worry my child, whether you were a boy or girl makes no difference to me as it doesn't change who you are."

Law emotionlessly stared at him then opted to look out the window as the train passed over a large forestry.

"We're almost at Magnolia now." Makarov said with a calm smile as he too looked out the window as well and recognized the forestry.

Time passed as the train travelled, Makarov and Law had begun getting to know each other even if Makarov was doing all the talking. He regaled Law with tales of the many adventures he went on over the years. You could assume Law wouldn't be listening but she was, every single word. She would add in tidbits and ask some questions which told Makarov that she was listening.

Makarov was enjoying his time with her as if he was talking to his grandson again which brought a happy feeling he had missed. Law wouldn't show it but she enjoyed chatting with the guild master as well, she kept up her guard but she was slowly warming up to the youthful old man.

"Safe to say that idiot will never challenge a Fairy Tail wizard in a drinking match again!" Makarov exclaimed proudly as he let out a hearty laugh.

"You all sound like a bunch of drunkards." Law said with disappointed frown and a sweat drop.

"Yes we are a happy bunch!" Makarov said as he continued to laugh.

'What did I get myself into...' Law thought as she face-palmed.

Suddenly a large fireball was launched from the forest and up into the air, it soon dropped as it reached its peak. The fireball hit the tracks in front of the train which caused an explosion, the train rocked as it was traveling towards the ruined tracks.

"What's going on!?" Makarov exclaimed as the train was shaking and the passengers were screaming.

Law opened the window and looked outside, she widened her eyes as she saw that the train was going to fall and crash.

"Attention! The train is about to crash! Please hold on and brace for impact!" An announcement rang out.

"Oh no..." Law muttered as the train fell into the forest and everyone screamed.
