'Are we in a fucking elevator?!' asked Frankie, finally catching a glimpse of the lights. The screams never stopped, only intensified as Frankie finally said the word 'elevator.' Steve nodded, alarming her even more.
'Yes! And we're going down! We're going down!'
'Yeah, no shit, Harrington!' yelled Robin, holding to some shelves. Dustin kept pressing the buttons, his voice going almost comically high as he yelled. 'Why don't these buttons work?!' Erica ran next to him.
'Press the button!'
'What do you think I'm doing?!' If it wasn't for the current situation, Frankie would definitely tease Dustin for his screams.
'Come, on press something! Just press the button!' yelled Steve, as Frankie tightened her grip on his torso, burying her head in his chest.
'Steve, if we don't make it out, I just want you to know that I'm sorry, and I l-' she was cut off by the elevator rattling forcefully, a bunch of boxes falling towards the two. Steve pushed Frankie out of the way, and grunted as a box fell on him.
She fell backwards, and groaned as her back met the metal ground hard. The elevator stopped, and Frankie sighed in relief.
'It fell on my groin. Dustin! Get this off of me!' exclaimed Steve and Dustin, with Frankie's help, lifted the box off Steve.
'Is everyone okay?' asked Robin, holding the back of head.
'Yeah, I'm great. Now that I know that Russians can't design elevators!' yelled Steve, steam practically coming out of his ears. He pushed Dustin away from the buttons, making Frankie sigh.
'Steve, we already established that those buttons don't work.' she said and Robin nodded.
'Well, they're buttons, they have to do something.' he said, face getting redder by the second.
'Yeah, if we had a keycard.' Frankie caught on to what Robin was saying and sighed in defeat.
'A what?' asked Steve.
'It's an electronic lock. Same as the loading dock.' Frankie walked forward and gestured to the lock. 'If we don't have a keycard, it won't operate meaning-'
'We're stuck in here.' finished Dustin and Frankie confirmed. Steve ran a hand through his hair and roughly closed the panel.
'Just so you nerds are aware, I'm supposed to be spending the night at Tina's,' started Erica and Frankie sighed, leaning her back against the wall. 'and Tina always covers for me. But if I'm not home for Uncle Jack's party tomorrow and my mom finds out you four are responsible, she's gonna hunt you down, one by one, and slit your throat' she finished and Frankie was more than ready to fight her.
'I don't care, about Tina! Or Uncle Jack's party!' yelled Steve, 'Your mom's not gonna be able to find us if we're dead in a Russian elevator!' Frankie sighed and grabbed him by the shoulders, turning him towards her.
