'italics' is to represent thoughts

"bold" is for conversations

y/cll/n stands for your collegue name

When y/N talks to blackpink is actually English, while during other conversations is italian, and when the girls speak to y/N it's usually English.

y/n is a 24 years old italian girl and after the quarantine she started to work as a waitress at a restaurant during the weekends. This means that she always has to wear a mask, and so does customers when they're not at their tables - of course they have to remove it when they eat.

Usually she gives a hand at her parents' warehouse from Monday to Saturday, but this week Saturday was a vacation day throughout all Italy, so she wasn't there. This is way today she had to wake up early and go to the restaurant, cause there is no rest for the wicked.

Your POV

My alarm started ringing at 6.00 a.m.; as soon as I hear  the first ring, I wake up and groan while looking for that annoying phone, trying to make it stop. 'Damn it. Why do I ALWAYS have to wake up so early?! Well I do know it's my fault and my fear of being late'. I get up quietly and since I have plenty of time I decide to take a shower to freshen up. I take my time in getting ready and once I wear my uniform - well, let's called it that but it's just a black shirt and a pair of black trousers - I grab my purse and my mask and get out of the house. As soon as I enter my car I connect my phone because listening to the radio gets on my nerve: i just hate all that talking and ads, and morever, that they never put a song that I like. I put on my car playlist and this song starts:

"yas, let's go with this energy!" I shout while starting the car. 40 minutes later I am parking at the restaurant. It's a really cozy location up in the mountains, during the summer a lot of people come here looking for a cooler weather, but this year it feels as hot as anywhere else. Here there is just a little church, right next to the restaurant, the rest is all fields and trees, a perfect location for picnics and chilled strolls; often you can find market stands spread throughout the fields.

After getting the tables done and making sure everything is ready, I have a quick lunch with the other girls and before we know it it's time to get to work for real: it's almost 1 p.m. so customers are already sitting at their tables. The restaurant has three areas: the main one at the entrance, the outside and a room upstairs, where y/cll/n and I will be serving today: luckily for us we have a goods lift so we don't always have to go up and down the stairs.

y/cll/n goes upstairs before I do, so she can check if something is missing and I can readily provide it. After a few minutes through the intercom she let me know that I can go too, so we can start. I make sure my mask is adhering to my face and that my glass won't fall from my nose and I make my way up the stairs. Step by step I start to see the people inside, there aren't too much people, also because of distance restrictions, but there are at least 50 people inside. I look around quickly, without really watching anyone, I then turn to my collegue and make are an okay sign. We are ready, all we have to do is waiting for the kitchen to send us the food, so in the meantime we have a small chat.

Only a couple of minutes has passed when we hear the beeping sound of the goods lift and take the trays, y/cll/n makes her way towards the end of the room while I take care of the customers on the front. But soon I see my friend coming back to me pulling me on one side:

"y/n do you mind taking care of the other side of the room? there are a few people that are not italian and I know that you're the best at speaking English, so please?" [yes we are in Italy, welcome lol]. I glance up but since my glass aren't strong enough I can't properly see the people she was talking about, anyway I just reply chuckling "yes of course, no problem, at least I can use my degree in languages somehow" She starts laughing a little too loud cause a lot of people turn towards us so I elbow her slighlty and start going to the end of the room.

As I was walking down the room I served the table that still didn't get anything, slowly reaching the last table. I wasn't really looking that way nor actually listening to the people talking over there. Now the last table is behind my back, I turn around and I don't know if I'm more surprised by the fact that I didn't drop my try or by the people I have in front of me. They all have their masks on, but I can tell it is them. There is no doubt.
