I could feel the pain as soon as I was starting to wake up. I let out a groan and open my eyes. I was in some room. There was bright light everywhere. I was in hospital I guess. I look around to see Levy and Mirajane sleeping peacefully on their beds. I hope they are alright. The room was empty other wise. I sit up straighter and get out of my bed, ignoring the pain shooting through my back. I never thought that Rafael would join Phantom to get to me. Soon I hear the door open and I turn around to see Gray standing there.
"You are not supposed to be standing up," he says with his mouth wide open, "Go and lay back down."
"I am alright," I whisper.
"Amber, I don't want to fight with you right now," he sighs.
"Oh why not, Ice princess?" I mock while turning towards the window, "Because I am injured? Weak? Because I was not able to defend myself and Mirajane and Levy from the Phantom?"
The next thing he did really surprised me. He turned me around and hugged me. I was more of confused and shocked than angry. Why in the whole world is Gray hugging me?

"I am glad that you are alright now," he whispers with his head buried in my hair, "I was so scared to see you like that today."
Honestly, I don't even know what to say. I don't even know how to describe this. This is something completely new to me. A foreign feeling. Like I feel safe someway. We just quietly stay like that. There was light breezy air coming from the windows. It was peaceful and silent.
"Is it just me or you seem short?" Gray asks suddenly while pulling away from the hug.
I sweat-dropped, "It's just in your head."
He smirks, "You actually are short."
"I am not short," I growl, "I am not wearing my heels today."
He keeps a hand on my head, "Still you are short."
I close my eyes and try to restrain myself from killing him. I hear movement and open my eyes to see Mirajane tossing and turning. I rush to her side. She opens her eyes slowly, with an uncomfortable look. She looks at me and smiles a little.
"Amber," she calls, "Could you give me some water?"
I hand her the glass of water that was on the side table, "Are you feeling alright Mira?"
"Yes," she nods after finishing her water, "Hey Gray, you are here too."
"Yeah," he nods.
"Where is everyone else?" I ask Gray.
"They are at the... guild."
"Oh okay. I gotta meet Gramps," I turn towards him, "You coming?"
"Wait, about that..." he trails off with an unsure look.
