"Dispatch, we've received reports of a suspected arms deal near the docks."
"Copy, I'll go have a look."
The officer took a left turn and after a short drive he reached his destination to find that the reports were true. The place was full of large containers and the deal was taking place near the ones sharing the same label, 'K.H ltd', the buisness company run by Hendricks.
"What's going on here ?" the officer said as he approached.
"Hey David, we're just moving up some equipment for the boss it won't take long."
Officer David took a look at the weapons, "the big man expecting some trouble ?"
"Not exactly but you can't be too prepared."
"And who's that up there ?" David said as he pointed at a silhouette of someone standing on a container, watching the operation, she wore a hood and a black mask that covered her mouth and nose, her body appeared to be turning transparent at some parts and then turning back normal, her overall figure gave the officer an eerie feeling.
"She's just making sure everything is going according to plan but you don't wanna deal with her."
"Why's that?"
"Well, she's not really, uhh, stable, plus her powers which makes her dangerous so I think it best to avoid her."
"Well it looks like your boss doesn't need those weapons since he's got her."
"Like I said, can't be too prepared, do me a favor and keep the coast clear for us, though it's not really a favor since you're getting paid right ?"
"You are actually hurting my sense of patriotism and now I'm reconsidering our agreement."
Ismail laughed as he walked back to the workers, he noticed the enhanced stand up and she teleported in front of him.
"Who was he ?"
"He's ok, we got him paid off."
"He still can't be trusted."
"Well then his mates will clip him if he ever gets a change of heart, almost the entire police department is bought."
"You don't understand those pigs, but I do."
"You're a real cop hater, you got a past with them or something ?"
She looked him in the eye without speaking.
"What about your name, care to share that atleast ?"
"You know my name."
"No, 'phantom' doesn't count as a name."
She didn't respond.
"Why are you risking yourself with Hendricks anyway ? No offense but you're not the strongest enhanced out there."
She stayed silent for a moment and looked away.
"Because I made a promise."
They both heard a crate smash on the ground and noticed some movements.
"We're not expecting company right?" Ismail asked.
Phantom's eyes widened, "No we're not, we're under attack."
*****
"What's it look like ?"
"As expected, twelve men doing the lifting, Ismail is running things, and the enhanced is on recon."
"She's not gonna make things easy."
"Atleast she's not a surprise and we already have a plan for her."
