Another Ending - Five x Vanya-COMPLETE

Chapter 2

The two arrived at dinner and took their seats. Nobody said a word, mostly because of the 'no speaking rule'. As much as they hated to admit it, they were kids now. So they did not have as much freedom as they once did.

They all looked down and ate silently, not looking at one another.

Reginald noticed that his children were not eyeing around the table like they usually did, so he would have to investigate that matter later.

After dinner the children had an hour before their curfew.

Luther and Alison went off on their own.

Diego hung out with Grace and practiced his speech.

Klaus and Ben went to go hang out and catch up with each other.

So it was just Vanya and Five.

Five went to go look for Vanya at the courtyard where they almost kissed.

He couldn't believe that they almost kissed.

THEY WERE SECONDS AWAY FROM KISSING.

He silently cursed out the dinner alarm for being such a cock block.

Five have had a crush on Vanya for a while. Ever since she first played violin in front of him. Ever since she helped him train and perfect his powers.

He jumped to her room. No Vanya.

Living room? No Vanya.

Library? Still no Vanya

There's only one place where she could be that he hasn't checked. He jumped up to the roof and saw Vanya standing at the edge of the roof. A dark thought passed through his mind and he immediately jumped to her side and pulled her back.

"Five? What are you-?"

"VANYA WHAT THE FUCK?! WHAT ARE YOU DOING? ARE YOU TRYING TO GIVE ME A HEART ATTACK? Do you even know what I would do without you?" Five yelled.

"Five...I wasn't...I would never. I was watching the sunset and debating something" Vanya said cupping Five's face.

"Debating what?" Five asked, holding Vanya's hands on his face.

"Throwing this over" Vanya replied, holding up her violin.

"What? Why would you-you love the violin?" Five said, grabbing the violin from her.

"I know, it's just that...this thing almost killed me, you, the world" Vanya sighed.

"Vanya, Luther shouldn't have blurted that out like that, but I'm here to help. You helped me perfect my powers, I won't rest til I help you control yours" Five said, grabbing Vanya's hands.

Vanya smiled.

"So, are we gonna talk about what happened?" She asked.

"What happened?"

"You know...the kiss or almost kiss"

Five immediately felt like and idiot. Of course she was talking about the kiss. What else could it be?

"Oh well...what about it?" Five asked.

"Well, what did you think about it?" Vanya asked.

"I thought...I think...I was feeling...Listen Vanya I really lik-" Five was about to finish, when the curfew alarm went off.

The look of disappointment washed over both young teens face.

"We...should talk about this at better times" Vanya joked and stood up. She walked to the door to the stairs back into the house.

"Hey Vanya wait!" Five called after her. She looked back and Five jumped to her face to face.

"You...forgot this" Five said and handed Vanya her violin. She smiled and grabbed it from his hands.

"Thanks Five" and began walking away again.

"And...I liked how I feel when I'm with you. As in, earlier, I liked it" Five stammered.

Vanya smiled and stepped towards Five again. She leaned in and kissed him on the cheek.

"I'll see you in the morning"  then Vanya left Five on the roof.

Five trailed his hand up where Vanya kissed him and he couldn't stop a cheesy smile forming on his face.

He teleported down to his room and got changed into his pjs. Five was so excited, maybe Vanya liked him back?

It wouldn't be totally crazy if they started dating. Luther and Alison liked each other and everyone knew that they were secretly dating.

The only issue is that...Five was always known as the loner, single boy. In his brother, Klaus's words.

"You have a better chance at falling in love with a doll than a human"

Which he technically wasn't wrong, but Delores was a mannequin, which is a huge difference.

Whatever they were, Five had to talk to Vanya. If being stranded in an apocalyptic wasteland for years on his own taught him anything. It taught him that he wished he had told Vanya how he felt.

Now he could. He had a second chance. And he was not gonna waste it.
