The Backrooms.

*BANG* I fell on the floor. I slowly opened my eyes to see a bright fluorescent light shining above me. I slowly sat up and rubbed my eyes.
"Where the fuck am I...." I whispered. I looked across from me and saw a sickening yellow wall. I was here. In the Backrooms.
"Holy fuck...." I said. I heard skittering not too far from me. I remembered that I need to keep quiet or else "they'll" hear me. I have to idea who "they" are but my gut told me to just trust whoever wrote about it. I stood up and walked slowly and silently across the beige carpet. It feels almost like a doctors office, or maybe a hotel? I don't know. I just need to get the FUCK out of here. I stopped. There was a dark figure ahead of me, just staring.
"WHAT DO YOU WANT?!" I screamed, suddenly feeling a burst of adrenaline. It grabbed me by the throat and held me against a wall.
"PUT THEM DOWN!!" A girl yelled from behind the creature. It stopped and dropped me, and slowly walked away. I was breathing heavily and I look at the girl, she was very beautiful. She had long brown hair and green eyes. Her skin was a beautiful tan shade. She smiled at me, "You okay?" She asked grabbing my arm.
"Y-Yeah i'm fine, thank you." I said shaking.
"Anytime. Follow me, you seem new here." So I did, I followed her into an enclosed space I assume she had made for protection.
"Sit over here, I need to make sure they're gone."
"Who's they?!!" I said angrily.
"The creatures." She replied. They've always been here, I think this is some sort of alternate reality. She said sitting next to me on a stool.
"Yeah, no shit." I said looking down.
"How do we get out?" I asked.
"I'm not sure, i've been here for a long time. What year was it for you when you got here?"
"2020. I responded. Why?"
"God... I got here in 2010... She said beginning to tremble."
"Wow." I replied looking at her with determination.
"We need to leave." I said grabbing her arm.
"No! I don't know where the way out is..." She said beginning to cry.
"I read online if you just space out and walk towards a wall with no intent, just a blank mind, you can leave." I told her.
"O-okay, I can try." She said taking a deep breath and dropping her arms to her sides. She walked towards the wall and suddenly there was a bright red light, she screamed and then, as soon as I blinked, she was gone.
"Shit shit shit shit SHIT!" I started to panic and pace around. I need to save her, I thought. I did the same thing she did, I spaced out, and walked into the wall. As soon as I did that, I saw something truly horrific, a decaying corpse? Monster? Creature? I couldn't tell, and then all I saw was red, and I screamed.
   I feel on a hard surface, It was very cold, and damp. There were the same lights, sickening yellow walls, and beige carpet. But something was different. I looked over to see the girl from earlier sitting, looking utterly hopeless.
   "Hey..." I said moving closer to her. She jumped.
   "Hi. I guess I should tell you my name since we're probably gonna be here a while."
   "I'm Lily." She said smiling weakly.
   "I'm Y/N." I said holding out my hand for her to shake. She shook my hand lightly.
   "We need to get out of here." I said looking around.
