Chapter 29

Chapter 29: Suitable Wife

Waking up by the bird's beautiful melody as the bright sun peeks through the window blinds, Tanaka yawned and sat up, slumping as he still feels very sleepy and weak.

Slowly he got up and headed for the door, upon opening it, he smelled a salty fragrance swirling around the room and it got stronger as he gets closer to the kitchen.

Opening the kitchen door, the demon's back was shown to Tanaka and he seems to be cooking breakfast, plates are already set on the table, and hearing the creaking door, he turned back to smile at the lazy man.

"Good morning Tanaka" he greeted before turning his attention back to the food he's cooking, it was just a simple omelette with ham in it.

"Nn" Tanaka nodded and slowly walked toward a chair and sat before watching the man cook.

'Is this how it feels to have a caring wife?' Tanaka thought to himself as he stares at the cooking man's back.

Soon enough, the food was served and they started eating and savoring it.

Some basic questions are replied with a curt answer, half an hour passed and the man stood up and did the dishes, Tanaka let him do it without hesitation, not even feeling guilty about it.

'He definitely knows how lazy I am' With that thought, Tanaka just sat there and slumped on the chair after the other wiped the table clean.

'What a diligent man'

Tanaka as the listless person that he is, the sleepiness is slowly sipping in through his vein and his eyes are slowly shutting down and all of a sudden,

"Hooh! I'm done"

Startled by that, Tanaka sat up with eyes wide open and looked at the man who disturbed his sleep.

"Tanaka~ Don't go sleeping on me"

"But I wanna sleep"

"In your room, do not sleep in the kitchen"

Hearing that, Tanaka got up and slowly went back to the room and jumped on the bed with a satisfied sigh, feeling the sleepiness, Tanaka didn't fight it and let his eyes shut slowly but before they could completely close, a figure was seen carrying a bunch of clothes and set it down on the bed slowly and finally, Tanaka's eyes are completely closed.

Feeling slow and gentle movements coming in from his side, Tanaka crunched his eyebrows and got up, completely awake, and saw that a person was folding clothes.

'What a perfect housewife, I can just stay still and watch all day' Tanaka thought

"Good afternoon Tanaka, I just finished cleaning, I'm sorry if I woke you up" The man said softly.

Tanaka shook his head indicating that it's not his fault.

"Why don't you rest?" Tanaka asked and the demon shooked his head no.

"I'll take a nap later after doing some more things" He said and got up after he finished folding clothes.

Tanaka was awed by the man, how can this man work so much?

This is very impossible for Tanaka!

'I would gladly just sleep all day with you doing all the housework' Tanaka thought with his usual lethargic expression

Not feeling really tired, Tanaka got up and walked his way toward the bathroom, he spotted the bathtub and felt the desire to soak.

Taking his clothes off, Tanaka slowly got in the bathtub as the water fills up at a fast rate.

"You're taking a bath, Tanaka?" The demon outside asked.

"Nn, I am"

"Alright, I'll get you some clothes"

The voice was getting farther until it disappeared and after a few minutes, the demon came back with clothes in his hands.

"I'll put your clothes on the bed"

"Thank you"

Soon, the bathtub was full and he slowly soaked his body on it, it was warm and refreshing, sighing as he settled on his position.

Staying on the hot tub, he was starting to feel sleepy again, half of his head is already under the water, sliding further down, Tanaka was completely underwater, his eyes opened and his visions clear.

Even when he was under the water for a long time already, he wasn't showing any signs of losing breath.

Feeling as if an hour has passed, Tanaka sat up, his body exposed to air again, and at the same time, a knock was heard at the door.

"Are you alright Tanaka?" The man at the other side asked worriedly when half an hour has passed but there was still no sign of Tanaka going out.

"Nn"

"I'll be there soon" Tanaka said as he stood up from the bathtub before randomly taking some bathrobe and setting it on his body, this bathrobe probably belongs to the demon as it was too large for Tanaka.

With the robe, Tanaka went out and saw the other man looking at him, clearly inspecting Tanaka wearing his bathrobe.

"This is probably yours, I'm sorry for using it without permission" Tanaka looked at the other with lethargic eyes.

"No it's fine, use all my clothes if you want!"

The man looked at Tanaka with sparkling eyes, he wants to see Tanaka in more of his clothes.

On the other hand, Tanaka went toward the bed and was planning to change but he remembered that the other man was here.

"Demon-kun, please go out" With a bit of hesitation, the demon went out and continued his chores, an hour passed and he was very distracted in cooking when he heard footsteps walking toward his way.

"Are you hungry Tanaka?" He asked without looking back and heard Tanaka express an affirmative response.

"Alright, I'm almost done" As soon as he was done cooking, He set the table up and caught Tanaka's figure.

"Oh my" The man trembled, his heart beats with a crazy rhythm.

Seeing Tanaka in his clothes is the best because of how thin Tanaka is, the shirt made it seems like a dress and again, since he's thin, it felt kind of sexy on him especially with his long legs and with the way the shirt sways on his body.

"Your clothes are comfortable" Tanaka commented, feeling comfy in the demon's shirt.

"Is that so? you should use my clothes whenever you want!" The demon stated and fires were burning in his eyes as he images Tanaka in all of his clothes and thought of how his scent's gonna stick with Tanaka.

"I'll do that" Tanaka agreed, not knowing the other's desire for him and proceed to sit down.

Both of them ate as soon as the plates were set up on the table, the food this time wasn't the same one as earlier, it was much more delicious and satisfying, it fills Tanaka's stomach slowly as he savors the taste of the food and when he was done, he stood up.

"Thank you for the food" Tanaka told the demon.

"No, I would like it if you had eaten more" The latter replied with a grin and Tanaka nodded, his expression, as usual, is lethargic.

Tanaka walked out of the kitchen and went for the bedroom as eating so much made him sleepy, and when he arrived, Tanaka slumped down on the bed and got rid of all his thought.

Soon, he was sleeping peacefully, the window's open and the cool air swirl around the room, a hand slid on his hair softly as he fell deep into sleep.
