Bonus Chapter

A/N: Sorry for this filler episode! I've been busy lately, so updates for this series will be running slowly! Fear not, I've been working on the actual one, but please just have this short bonus for now!

   "Haah..."

   Nico breathed out a sigh to himself, paging through the manga in front of him mindlessly. It had only been a couple of days since he had been discharged from the clinic, but the thoughts of her had continued to plague his mind for some time.

   He clicked quite easily with her despite only knowing her for so little time, but how could he let someone like that go? Someone who enjoyed manga and anime and was willing to patiently sit there and accompany him through those lonely procedures was surely a friend he would not ever forget!

   Today, he had been anticipating her being there so he could spill all of his vast knowledge as an otaku though when he arrived, she wasn't there due to "work", according to Kaguya. Another sigh escaped his mouth as he stared at the imagery below him; unbeknownst to him, his friends were glancing at each other, confused by this sudden pacified version of Nico. Normally, the boy would be intensely focused on his comics, but he was simply...

   Listless.

   Before another audible breath left his mouth, a flick to the forehead awakened the green-haired boy with a small "ack" as he lifted his hands to cover his head. "Heey, what was that for?" he pouted at the blonde-haired man in front of him.

   "You're seriously freaking me out," Uno started, crossing his arms, "It's been like this for, what? Three-ish days? You didn't even tell Kaguya 'hi' today!"

   Rock nodded in agreement, "You're normally bouncing off the walls 'n stuff, did they use an anesthesia on you or somethin'? You don't even seem like you wanna go break out and all!"

   Jyugo's eyes widened a bit, "Don't tell me one of those seasonal illnesses are back--"

   "Then how about you test to see, Jyugo?" Uno said as he began to slowly force his friend to get closer to the other, the boy struggling back and hissing out, "Uno, you ass!-- We aren't doing this again!"

   "C'mon, it's not that bad!"

   "Then why don't you do it!"

   "Because I don't want to!"

   "Fine, Rock, you do it!"

   "I'm good here, I think you're better as the guinea pig here-"

   Nico waved his hands at them, "I'm perfectly fine! My hair's normal and all, so don't worry! It's just..."

   The group stopped bickering amongst themselves, immediately falling into silence and staring at Nico with curious eyes.

   "It's just about how there's a new nurse here-- she's really nice and...! She likes anime like me! She also sits there and listens to me and kept me company during my check up, I wanted to see her today but she wasn't here and--"

   Suddenly, it felt like a weight sat on Nico's shoulders as he looked up to the intense glare of Uno. "Niiiiiccooooooo...."

   "U-uwah! Why do you look like that?!"

   He violently shook the boy like a ragdoll, yelling, "Why didn't you say anything about a new nurse sooner?! You met a girl behind our backs and now you're trying to keep her to yourself?!"

   "T-that's not what I wanted to doooo---" Nico wailed, trying to escape the iron grip of his friend. That was until Rock intervened, plucking Uno off of him.

   "You're acting like Nico's your husband and has a secret mistress-" Jyugo commented, earning a "hmph" from Uno, "Shut up! The point is, there's a girl! A girl! G-I-R-L, girl!"

   "You don't know if she's cute or not!"

   "Well, is she?!"

   Nico nodded, fiddling with his hair as he responded, "She's really pretty, yeah..!"

   Uno grinned, looking at the group with a haughty expression, "Exactly! A pretty girl in here? That can only mean one thing, she probably got this job to see me~"

   "No way, dude," Jyugo butted in, "Like some chick would wanna come in here to see you."

   The man ignored him, cupping his cheeks as he cooed, "Ah~ How I've waited so long for a cutie to come around and finally profess her feelings to me, what a relief that I won't die alone in this place!"

   "You're still scared of ghosts, just today you were screaming about that sleep paralysis thing or whatever-" Rock spoke up, earning Uno's wrath, "S-shut up! That stuff's scary as hell, and why didn't you even wake me up, you bastard?!"

   As the two began to argue amongst themselves, Jyugo nudged Nico's shoulders. "Oh, yeah! You were there too, right Jyugo?"

   He lifted an index finger to his lips, "Shh, don't make Uno even more upset," he spoke with a hushed tone and a grin.

   "Oh, okay..!" Nico replied, mimicking his quiet voice.

   "And yeah.. I got to see her too..." He shut his eyes, recalling the events; he was really only there to check on Nico, though he ended up also catching a glimpse of that girl and her conversation with Honey and Trois. He didn't pay too much attention, since he nearly got caught in that time, but her voice sounded pleasant despite the clear dry nature behind her words. Plus, Nico seemed to have slept a little more easily than he did in his previous checkups, so he assumed a part of it was her doing.

   "She's really pretty, right..?!" The boy gazed up at Jyugo in anticipation, to which he responded with a chuckle. "Yeah.. guess so."

   His eyes gazed down to the manga on the mats, the dramatic imagery of the female lead helping the gravely wounded main character imprinted on the papers. "You seem to like her." Nico nodded his head vigorously, "Yeah..! She's nice and said she'd be my friend, so I want you guys to meet her too-- so we can all be friends together!"

   "You guys, keep your voices down..!" A voice called out from the other side of the bars, the blue-haired guard standing there with a frown on his face.

   "Oh yeah, and Sei-chan saw _____ too!"

   The group directed their stare towards Seitarou, his confusion apparent as he asked, "_____? That nurse-lady?"

   "Mhm! The one that called you 'Sei-chan' as well!"

   Seitarou's expression changed instantly into that of embarrassment, "I-It's not like I asked her to do that, she thought it was my actual-"

   "Goddamnit.. even you knew about her and didn't say anything...!"

   "Huh?" The guard said, looking at who interrupted him. Uno stood there, an aura emanating of death surrounding him. He spoke through gritted teeth, "I... I hate pretty boys like you!"

   Soon enough, the poor man was being pelted with trash, crying out, "W-what did I do wrong?!"

   Just another day at Nanba.
