In a daze, I stumbled through my front door and into my house. I let my backpack, dangling precariously from one shoulder, simply slide to the ground. I climbed up the staircase in a daze and I slowly sat down onto my bed. My eyebrows were locked in a position high above their typical residence and my wide open, gaping mouth would not shut close.

Its not possible... It can't be. She actually talked to me. She actually wanted to befriend me. The Julie Ann Jones wants to actually be friends with someone like me.

I fell back onto my bed and contemplated such a thought... Being friends with cute, funny, adorable Julie Ann Jones. I mean, what do friends even do? I rolled to one side and started hugging my pillow. They call each other up to go shopping, right? Or do their nails? Or have slumber parties? Or bake cookies?... Well, at least, that's what I think they do in movies? I don't know, I don't know, I don't know!

ARGH! I threw my pillow against the wall in a mix of frustration, excitement, and just a general release of emotion. Certain events today led me to degenerate into a confused frenetic mess. I grabbed my stuffed bear and hugged him tightly. "Teddy, you're friends with me right? What do we do together?" After a moment of silence, I gave him an extra squeeze and held him in front of me. Staring at my life-long companion, I sighed and set him down next to me.

I guess I should first talk about what happened today...

It was a typical day - the same repetitive schedule, as usual. I had dragged myself out of my bed, changed out of my pajamas, brushed my teeth, stuffed a waffle in my mouth, and rushed out the door with my flats not fully on my feet. Hopping on one foot, I pulled the backing of my shoes onto my heels and made a mad dash for the approaching bus. After squeezing myself through the closing bus doors and almost falling as I clambered up the muddy steps, I awkwardly mutterred an apology for my lateness and then headed to my seat. The bus driver simply replied with a disgruntled sigh, and a dramatic gearshift into drive causing the bus to lurch forward. I quickly searched for the cleanest gray two seater I could find and then sat down, brushing the metal seatbelts aside. I pulled out the math homework I forgot to do, and then scribbled down some answers to look like I did some work. My normal day continued for the first two periods. It wasn't until I got to Mr.Satty's dreadful math class did things start getting strange. The first unusual thing I noticed was that Shane did not say a word to me when I walked in. No stupid wolf whistle or cliched musing on whether it hurt when I fell from heaven or not. He wasn't even coming on to a different girl in the class, he just sat in his seat and bid me a good morning when I set my book bag down at the adjacent desk. I shifted my eyes left and right... Is some one playing a prank or something? Or maybe he was dared not to be a douche for a day? Is that even possible? For Shane not to be a scumbag? Probably not.

As time ticked by and the whiteboard became covered in a smattering of foreign symbols and equations, I drifted away into my own corner of my mind. I amused myself with images of Julie Ann Woods projected onto my flickering eyelids. My chair became increasing comfortable and soon sleep had whisked me away from this God forsaken classroom.

"Class! Don't forget to collect your homework worksheets on your way out!" Mr.Satty said as I snorted myself awake. Ugh, I was drooling... I wiped the spit from the corner of my mouth and cleaned my hand on my skirt. I know, super classy right? I started quickly stuffing my binders into my bulging bag and zipping up my colorful pencil case when I heard a slight cough next to me.

If thats Shane trying to hit on me again, I swear to God I will... I thought as I tilted my head upwards. And there she was. In all her amazing glory. The very same girl I was picturing in my head just 10 minutes ago, in the flesh.
