As we were laying in the living room immersed in the movie we were watching the doorbell rung. We had all jumped probably a little paranoid by the movie. After everything that happened this morning we decided to have a long overdue together day. This included watching movies and eating tons of junk food. After going through most of the comedies the guys had suggested we start watching horrors. Of course the girls were against it but we were out voted. So here we were watching The Grudge and I was scared as hell. So when the doorbell rung I was in no rush to get it.
Sometime during the movie we ended up scattered around the living room. I looked up from where my face was buried in Ben's chest and over his shoulder. "Someone should go get it," I said my voice shaking.
"Not it," Lindsay sounded her voice filling up the whole house. After she began everyone's voice followed after. Everyone except me. When I realized I would have to get it my mouth hung open. I stared at all the traders in the room. I narrowed my eyes at Lindsay and she gave me a sheepish smile. I turned towards Jake and gave my boyfriend a pleading smile. He gave a mischievous smile in return.
"No can do babe," He said. I narrowed my eyes at him and his smile brightened. I flipped him off before turning my head in the direction that the doorbell rung again. I just sat there staring at it. Then the doorbell rung again. Ben pushed me to stand up and I shakily stood up. I still just stood there not moving an inch. He nudged me and I slowly started to walk foreword. I'm not going to die. I'm not going to die. I just had to keep repeating that.
Not long after I started walking I reached the door. I placed my hand on the knob and took a deep breath. Everything will be just fine. She's not real. It's just a movie. Only a movie. With that I ripped open the front door preparing for the worst. I looked at who it was and I let out a sigh of relief. In front of me stood a boy. His messy black hair had water drops in it and his nose was slightly red. He was wearing a black coat button up and tan pants. Around his neck was a scarf. The expression on his face made my scared behavior fade away. "Hey," Greg said huskily.
"Hi," I said. I just stood there staring at him. I didn't know why but I couldn't look away. It was mesmerizing. I didn't realize that he was staring at me too but more amused. His warm chuckle filled my ears.
"Are you going to let me in or do you want to take a picture first," He said smirking at me. I rolled my eyes at his arrogant behavior and playfully slapped his cheek. I held open the door for him and he walked in. He took off his scarf and I was about to close the door when I looked outside. It was pouring and windy. It had gotten dark because of the weather so it already looked like it was night. I hadn't even realized it. I closed the door to see Greg standing there waiting for me. After making sure the door was locked numerous times I turned towards him. He wrapped his arm around me and he gestured to the living room. "Shall we?" I nodded and we started to walk to there living room.
We entered the living room and everyone's eyes were still glued to the screen. "The grudge sweet," Greg said. Everyone looked up at him and they all instantly greeted him. Everyone except Jake of course. He went to sit by Kyle who had the popcorn and instantly started eating it and watching the movie. I chuckled at his child like excitement. Jake on the other hand wasn't so amused. Oh gosh everything was finally good again between us please don't do this. I was going to send him a pleading warning look but I was too late.
"What the hell is he doing here," Jake roared. Everyone looked up at Jake as if he was talking to him but we all knew the question was directed at me. Instead of me answering Greg instantly took offense to Jake yelling at me. He stopped eating popcorn and stared at Jake hard. One of those stares that made every hair on your legs and arms stand up. One of those stares that made your blood run cold and your spin tingle with fear.
