LUCID DREAM

Echos

Katie's POV

I close my eyes for a minute, and I hear

"KATIE" the same demonic voice echos again and again.

"Katie!" my dad calling me from downstairs

"Come on, you're gonna be late for school!"

I quickly finished brushing my teeth as I dash towards my bag of clothes, trying to find something good enough to wear. I wore a pair of skinny Jeans, a lavender top and a denim jacket, tied a simple ponytail with a pair of new sneakers to go with it. I head towards the kitchen, eating my pancakes at the speed of light, and my dad ready to start the car. 

I quickly washed the dishes I used and saw my dad with his car, waiting for me to come out the door. 

I rush out the door my new house key and my dad could see me struggling to wear my backpack as I sat in the passenger seat. All ready to go and my dad starts talking about a case he was working on, until we reached my new school. It was quite big. I gave my father a hug as I left his car. He was waving at me and I enter. The halls of the school were quite normal. I saw some groups of people talking to each other, some kids were staring at me. I thought that people were judging my appearance. But it turned out that they were looking at a kid behind me. That kid came to school wearing his pajamas to school. Many kids were pointing  at him and laughing while he was half asleep and roaming the halls. I ignored whatever was happening in the halls and went to my first class. I was just sitting at a desk,waiting for the teacher to arrive, until a girl looked at me in excitement and sat next to me.

"Hi, I'm Ellie. You must be Katie, my mom told me all about you"

I was kinda confused for a second, "Uhm, how do you know me?" I asked her nervously

"Oh, silly  your dad, Peter, is my mom's co-worker. They both work on cases together. He told me that you were attending this school since I met him a few days ago."

"Oh, anyway, nice to meet you " I said and our class began.

During our last class together, I once again fell asleep

I started hearing the same ringing sound, that I heard in my dream,and the same voices echoing in my head.

"KATIE!"

"KATIE!"

I see that purple mist once again and I come back to reality, seeing Ellie, trying to wake me up.

"Wow, Katie, you're heavy sleeper, alright" said Ellie after seeing me awake.

After school, Ellie wanted to come to my house. 

"Eh, I don't know, haven't finished unpacking yet" I said in a little embarrassing tone.

 "Don't worry, I'll help you unpack. Besides, I am a very organized person." Ellie said while showing her organized skills. While opening my front door, Ellie and I both head towards my room. Since, Ellie was helping me unpack, I get a text from my dad saying

Dad- Hey, how was school?

Katie- It was fine. I made friends with Ellie today. She's at home with me, helping me unpack. 

Dad- Good to hear. Listen, I might be late, so don't bother staying awake. Okay?

Katie- Okay, fine

Dad- Bye

Katie-Bye
