Emotions can spark a War.

Gabriel Montessoro
"Tom fucking touched me every single day and night. I begged for them to just kill me already. And then, it happened... I got pregnant, Montessoro, but I miscarried just after a few days." Her confessions and story about her past shook me to the core. No one deserved to experience what she had experienced and God knows it scarred me just listening to her story. My heart broke and I wanted to hug her until everything would go away. But I couldn't make those memories go away. It already was done. I couldn't change the past and so I cried. I cried with her but I couldn't let her see me that way when she's already crying. So I hugged her and held her close to me for a long time. God knows how I just wanted her to be in my arms until the world would be better and she would be okay. Her cries didn't just break my heart. It broke my soul. The way she held me tight made me feel like she's holding for her dear life. I didn't want her to feel that way but at the same time, she experienced it and I felt completely helpless. All I could ever do was to support her and make sure she's better now and hopefully, I could make her happier. Anger doesn't describe the feeling I was now having with that fucking Tom. I was livid. I was seconds away from finding him myself. He fucking raped her and he was the reason she miscarried. I cannot even fathom how painful it must have been with Caralei not only losing a part of herself but also a child. A fucking baby! Maybe that's why she's so detached with men and the way she hugs herself whenever I see her with Percyla being pregnant. I don't know if it was an instinct but I think her search for self- validity and confidence stemmed from her experiences. I began picking my suit and pants for the day and was about to pick between the gray tie and the red tie when I remembered what Caralei had said earlier.
"I can't believe you're staying, Montessoro." I sighed, feeling a heavy pit on my stomach. Why does she doubt everything about me? The fact that she thought I would leave her because of her experiences made me push myself to be a better man to her. She needs to know that no matter what happens, I'll stay by her side and support her. She needs to see it clearer... A thought came to my mind. I'll take her out on a date again. We've been so busy with the concerts and our companies we hardly had any time going out. True, we're always by each other's side but I need some alone time with her and treat her like a queen that she is. My thoughts trailed away once my phone started ringing and saw it was Edmond, my chief bodyguard. I put the ties on the bed and I answered his call.
"Edmond."
"Hello Sir. What's the problem?" He sensed the urgency of my text message earlier.
"Prepare everything in the database. Tell the staff at the tech team to make sure the satellites are always in great conditions." I began to instruct him.
"No problem, Sir. The satellites are always on the go. Can I ask what you will do?" I looked behind me and sensed Caralei was still at the kitchen cooking breakfast.
"Can you coordinate with Ermanno? I need you two to work together and find someone." I asked mentioning Caralei's head of security.
"Yes, Sir."
"Great. Find him. His name is Thomas Malevolo. Flip the entire world if you have to. He needs to fucking pay for his crimes."
"Thomas Malevolo... Okay. Noted, Sir. I'll update you as soon as possible."
"Good. Bye." I threw the phone on the bed and ran my fingers through my hair. I need to find him. I needed to face him and make him pay. I rubbed my nape at the vengeful thoughts I had. No one will fucking hurt her. I know that Tom wasn't done with her and that wasn't the last encounter he will ever have with her. So I need to act fast. I'll make sure he'll regret what he did. I blew out a breath and composed myself. Caralei doesn't need to find me stressed out about this. The last thing I ever wanted was for her to worry.
"Montessoro?" Her voice and the knock on the door startled me and I quickly grabbed the two ties and acted calm.
"Yeah?"
"Are you dressed?" She asked with shyness in her and I couldn't help but chuckle.
"Yeah. You can come in." As soon as I answered, she pushed the door wider and entered her room.
"You know you shouldn't need to ask if I'm dressed or not. You can look at me whenever you want, fully clothed or nak-"
"Montessoro!" She gasped and I chuckled again. We need to lighten up the mood... Her eyes then landed on the two ties I had in my hands.
"Help me choose. Gray or red?" I asked and she came and took the gray one out of my grasp.
"This one."
"Gray it is!" I beamed. She smiled before she silently helped me with my tie. Tugging it down lightly one last time, she smiled once again completely satisfied.
"Why pick the gray one?" I blurted out of curiosity. She smoothened my tie and then my suit as she replied.
"It makes your eyes pop. You look good with gray ties."
"I look good in everything tho." I retorted and she laughed; the kind of laugh that was silent with a mix of giggling. She's so cute.
"Sure. Sure. Whatever pleases you." She chuckled one more before giving me a quick peck of a kiss on the cheek that made me weak.
"Breakfast is ready. Come out if you're ready." She spoke before walking towards the door.
"You know I should make you help me with my ties everyday."
"Why? I'm not your freaking stylist, Montessoro."
"If you always kiss me like that after you help me with my tie, I'll always ask for your help."
"You're a grown man. You always choose your own tie since you're 18! Help yourself." Ah! There's my fiery ice queen.
"It's different when it's with your girlfriend! I feel more confident. Ready to take over the world."
"Tyrant." She laughed and reached the door.
"And you're my queen."
"I better be your only queen." Ha! If only she knows I plan on making her my wife!
"Always be."
"Enough with the flattery, Montessoro. Come on. We need to get back to work."
"A tyrant needs to be held down by a strict and wise queen. So disciplined and-"
"I'll eat all your bacon if you are not at the dining table in 5 minutes!" She threatened as she walked out.
"Wait! No! Wait! Wait for me!"
"You don't want to starve your boyfriend." I love mentioning the words boyfriend and girlfriend. I love mentioning that she was mine.
"Your words aren't working with me, Montessoro." She sang in a teaseful tone before I could hear her giggling down the hallway. I love her now even more. Such a strong woman. It didn't seem like she was crying her eyes out earlier. She seemed okay now. She sounded okay. Those were dangerous to me as I knew she could perfectly hide from her beautiful smile. She's a dangerous woman. And I'll be the one to calm her storms the same way she calmed me down. She needs to break out of her shell and be free. She needs to experience true peace.
All we ever want in our lives are true peace and happiness. Success is not measured on how much money you have or houses you own.
