"Don't go easy on me just because I'm female, or because I'm your Luna." I smirk at him. He has no idea what he's gotten himself into.
"It wouldn't be a fair fight if I did that." He smirks back.
My wolf laughs, it won't be anyway.
I decide that it's probably not the best idea to shift inside with how powerful my wolf is, so I'll have to lead him out into the field somehow. I begin to strategize my moves when he shifts, a large brown wolf with black ears and one black paw is now in front of me. He moves to his corner of the mat and looks at me like he's waiting for me to shift. But that's not going to happen, not yet. I move to the end of the mat and gesture my head that I'm ready, he looks at me confused, but I don't give him time to think. Using some speed, I make my way to his wolf and wipe out his two front legs. sliding next to him and making my way behind his wolf, putting myself in the back corner of the gym. His snout hits the mat with a thud but is quickly picked up as he spins around to face me, I can see the amusement in his eyes.
"Oh am I funny to you?" I laugh back. He tries to use that moment against me, but I dive and roll out of the way of his pounce. Now with my back to the open door. I have to bait him outside.
"At least he's not going easy on you, that wouldn't be fun." My wolf jokes with me, Ian glares at me as I laugh out loud.
"Sorry I'm disappointing you, you thought this would be easy." I start to creep back to the outside edge of the mat, in front of the opening to the field. He slowly approaches me, his head getting low to the ground. Taking in every inch I move, planning out what to do next.
There are still several wolves out training in the fields. Well, they're about to get a show. I walk until I step down onto the grass, I peek over my shoulder to take a look at my surroundings. Giving my foe fake hope in an attack. I turn back right as he jumps in the air, I can see the surprise in his eyes as I grab his furry torso and use his momentum to keep him going. I throw him right over my head onto the grass outside of the gym. He manages to land on his feet with a thud, digging his claws into the dirt underneath.
We've caught the attention of a few wolves, I can hear them whispering about us, about me. I focus on Ian, he looks a little dazed but comes back a second later. I don't question it as I make my move on him, I move to the left of him and plant my foot. He's focused on where my foot is, but not where it's going. I use my placement as a distraction to jump over to his right side, landing a kick on his back as I land.
He falters a bit but recovers quickly, even though he hasn't even touched me, I'm impressed with how fast he recovers from my attacks. I take just a second too long to plant my other foot on the ground and he takes his opportunity to swipe out the leg I'm standing on. I land on my back but roll back over my shoulders, I'm on all fours now, perfect. He starts to charge and as he gets to me I lunge over him, in mid-air I shift into my wolf.
Ian turns around as his eyes are wide, I then notice all of the wolves in the field looking at me. Everyone is bug-eyed like I have three heads. I look around and then down to my paws, two light gray paws of my wolf. Shit, the spell wore off before I could even shift. I look back up to the crowd, expecting them to all still be looking at me. But they weren't, they were all kneeled down, bowing their heads. Ian was the first to raise his head, as he shifts back into his human form he lowers onto his knees. I'm confused by the pack's gesture, I look around for any reason why. I turn around to see Lucas standing behind me, his face full of surprise.
I can't even come up with words.
"They're kneeling for you, my Luna." Lucas, still full of surprise, also kneels to the ground. He bows his head with respect.
I turn back to the pack, they are all still on the ground. I shift back into my skin, making sure to shift my shirt to cover the marks I found earlier. I feel Lucas get up and walk behind me, still keeping his distance. I watch as Ian rises to his feet, followed by the rest of the pack. They are all still confused, I can hear their thoughts about me. They have no idea what I am.
"Everyone, I'd like to introduce you to your Luna." Lucas' voice booms with authority behind me.
He takes a few steps forward until he's standing next to me, I can feel the power radiating off of his body. I also feel the pride of the pack standing in front of me. Ian looks at me with a smile on his face, it might not be how I wanted them to find out, but they know I'm not just a normal wolf. Ian answers the question I've had in my head for a few minutes.
"When a high rank of the pack first shifts, we pay our respects to their wolf. It may not be your first shift, but it's the first time we've seen your wolf. Luna, we all welcome you." Ian gestures to the pack behind him, now more wolves joining us on the field.
They kneel as they join the group, standing up after a second and looking at me. They look like they're waiting for me to do something. I look to Lucas for what to do, but my wolf answers first.
"They want you to accept the pack as yours, formally." He says with pride. Oh, alright then.
"I, Kai Lylin Aletta, except the honor as Luna of the Silver Spirit pack as my own." I finish my sentence and a wave of power rushes over me, my eyes go blurry and I see faint faces rush through my vision.
Everyone in the pack, connected with my mind. The person who stood out the most was Lucas, I can see him clearly while others are blurred. He screams power through the newly established bond I have with the pack.
"Be true to your Luna so long as you live." I hear Lucas say next to me. In my mind, I hear the rest of the pack repeat the sentence as they all shift into their wolves.
Overwhelming emotion rushed through me as I see over 200 wolves standing strong in front of me. Lucas follows their action and shifts into his wolf, with a large pitch-black coat and bright aqua eyes. He's beautiful. He nods his head to me, then stands back. I take the hint and shift into my silver-gray wolf. They've already seen it now, there's no point in hiding. All the wolves, including Lucas and Ian, bow their heads in submission towards their luna.
"Welcome my Luna." Lucas whispers through the mind link. He rubs his head on the side of my neck, inhaling my scent.
"Rise." I tell them through the link. As they all stand, still in their wolf forms, a man makes his way to the center next to Ian. He must be of high rank as well, o can feel it radiating off of him. I shift back to my skin, followed by Lucas and the two men in front of the group. Everyone followed after the man shifted back. He made his approach towards me, brown eyes, light brown hair, slightly built, he must be a warrior.
"I apologize for the late introduction Luna, My name is Darian Rhodes, Gamma of the Silver spirit pack." He bows his head slightly as he finishes his sentence.
"It's alright, I haven't introduced myself until just now anyway. And please, call me Kai." I give him a light smile as Ian joins the three of us in front of the pack.
"Dinner tonight, everyone is invited, join us in the main dining room at 8." Lucas makes an announcement to the pack.
"Yes, Alpha." The pack responds in unison.
