Soon after my victory, Lucas and I split up the warriors into pairs with similar skill sets. The higher skilled warriors were left under Lucas to spectate, while I watched the less skilled. You're only as strong as your weakest link, so I'm going to focus on that first. None of our people are weak, I can tell you that for sure, Lucas made sure that everyone around the age of 12 and above had some sort of experience. Whether it be training by themselves, hand to hand combat, working on specific skills, or just in general, everyone had some sort of training experience. Some just had a lot more than others. Most of the wolves we have out today have a lot of experience with combat, but it's limited depending on what you looking for. Some are much stronger in their wolf form than they are in their skin, some the opposite, so I want to work on closing that gap, making everyone as well rounded as possible. The higher ranked wolves have fought for their place in the pack, so it makes sense that they would be stronger, having more experience.

Some people have other assets that they don't utilize to their full potential and that's keeping them behind. We have a few members with mixed genes, whether they just inherited some abilities or all of both breeds, they don't know how to use them. I've spoken to Lucas and Ian about the people and what they can do, Ian has some knowledge with different abilities due to him being half-vampire and being the son of an oracle, but we don't have many members that are skilled with anything to train them, so I guess I have to step in.

"I know there are some people with abilities that I want to work with, but it's going to be a totally different experience then what I've gone through, especially since I'm already more powerful then they could be, and I've grown up with my abilities, so it's going to be harder for them. I just don't know where to begin." I spoke to Ian about my issue after the first round of combat was over.

"I have some skills that I could teach that's more lower-level stuff, but I'm still learning myself," he paused for a moment. "I could see if Yuna would help you, shes half-witch, and she's pretty skilled." he looks to his mate. like she could feel his gaze, the female turns to us and smiles.

"I could tell when I first met her that something was different with her, I just couldn't put my finger on it, I wonder why," I questioned myself

Usually, it's pretty easy for me to spot magic, but with her, it's difficult even with me knowing. Her aura is faint like it's barely there, or like she's masking it.

"She doesn't hide it, but she's not going to use her powers a lot without there being a dire reason. I've known Yuna for a little over four years now and we're pretty open with each other, but whenever we talk about my mom, or our pasts, or bring up magic at all, she shuts it down. I know she's gone through a lot in the past, and I've never wanted to push her into telling me, but I can tell it hurts her. I know she's powerful, my mother has told me that much, but she keeps it under wraps, she almost never uses her abilities. It makes me sad to know that her past hurts her that much to the point where she doesn't want to be who she is." He looks back to meet my eyes, guilt, and pity swirling around in them. I can tell he really loves her, and it worries him.

Our heart-to-heart conversation was brought to a halt when I heard a heated argument going on the distance, two males fighting hand to hand, and a few others standing around and egging on the situation, and one of the two other females I saw earlier in the middle trying to break them up. I could tell that this fight wasn't just for training purposes, the shouting caught Lucas' attention too, he began to make his way across the field towards the crowd of people.

I instructed Ian to keep an eye out on the others before I made my way to the two men fighting. Making my way through the people, some moving out of my way, having to push others who were too enticed by the brawl. When I got closer, I could see the two men were both badly bruised and bloody already, this was definitely not just training. The shared grunts and heavy breaths between the two were not the ones of a friendly tussle, but of a challenge for dominance. Only then did I find the reason behind the two throwing fists.

"I've heard a rumor going around that Ren and Juels are mated, but Jules and Herren have been together for a couple of months. I guess Herren just got dumped and isn't happy about it." I could hear a male whisper to another as I pass by them, so it's a battle for a female. I roll my eyes and walk up to the males that don't even seem to notice my presence.

"That's enough!" Lucas shouted in a demanding tone as the crowd parted for their alpha, but the two men didn't stop.

One of the males swung a clenched fist at the other's nose, effectively creating a stream of blood gushing out. Lucas shouted again, now with a low growl fueled by his growing anger, but only one of the men looked towards his alpha. The other, his eyes were dark and full of rage, his wolf took over and shifted. The other male paid no mind to this when he kneeled down to Lucas, giving the wolf an opportunity to lunge at his defenseless foe, but I intervened. Stepping in between the two males with inhuman speed, cutting off the wolf mid-air, I heard gasps from the crowd that soon turned faint when I let a burst of energy from my palm towards the enraged beast. He flew back onto the ground, landing on his back, but getting back up on his feet quickly. His wolf was still in control, and he didn't care for authority at the moment, he was angry. He wasn't going to back down.  He growled at me with his teeth bared, his eyes pitch black. I stared right into them, daring him to challenge me, his luna. He chose to attack, attempting to charge at me, but I forced him to a stop with the palm of my hand, again throwing him to the ground. This time, keeping him down on his back with the force of my energy, he struggled and writhed against my invisible grip, only making me tighten it around his neck. I walk up to the now powerless wolf before me.

"Shift," I demanded with an alpha tone, one full of power and authority, one that made the others cower away. But he didn't budge, his eyes still lively with rage. "I said shift, Now!" I raised my voice, both me and my wolf now getting frustrated with this blood-hungry pup. Gowling at him I tightened my grip on him completely, causing him to whimper before forcefully shifting back into his human form.

"How dare you challenge my authority. How dare you challenge your alpha's authority." I growled at him, releasing my grip seeing as he had no more energy to fight back.

"Herren, what's the meaning of this nonsense!" the female yelled out from the side, earning a fowl glace from Lucas making her bow her head. The beaten male stayed silent.

"Answer her question Herren," Lucas demanded.

"I... I.... I'm sorry alpha, I lost control. When I heard that Ren was Juel's mate, I lost it." His eyes began to fill with tears. "I love her alpha, and it made me so angry to know that he could just show up and take that from me!" He sat on his knees, his head bowed to the ground as tears threaten to fall. I could feel the emotions seeping off of him, he really felt for her, and now he's hurting.

"Herren, I'm sorry, I never meant to hurt you. I told you that I hadn't found my mate yet, and I just turned of age, I found Ren and I just knew. I'm so sorry." she cried out from behind Lucas, trying to make her way to her past lover, but Lucas stopped her with his arm.

"This still isn't settled. So the rumors are true, you and Ren are mates?" he looked to her and she answered with a nod. "Well it's none of my business which one you choose, but if it continues to cause issues, there will be consequences. Understood?" he told the three of them. A monotone 'yes alpha' was heard from the three. "Alright, everyone back to training, except Herren, I want you in my office." Herrens eyes went wide at the added command, everyone scattered around the field as the wolf made his way to the house.
