"Make sure you don't miss your train!" I smiled at Nagito while he walked out of my apartment.
"Don't worry, Hajime," he reassured me and we went down the elevator. The music in the elevator was much to my disliking as it sounded like a piano getting smacked rather than played. Nagito frowned.
"This music is awful," he muttered.
"I agree," I laughed and the doors opened. I walked out into the lobby where Yuri was grinning. Nagito gave her an angry look before walking up the main door.
"See you tomorrow at school. Better not be late," I reminded him.
"I won't. Bye Hajime!" he smiled and waved. I waved back at him and saw him walk into the distance. I turned around and frowned at Yuri.
"Yuri, you look like you're at a children's birthday party...and you're nineteen," I sighed.
"I know! I'm practically glowing," she laughed.
"You're so weird," I muttered.
"Okay! So, it's obvious you two like each other right?" she smiled. I walked up to her little receptionist desk.
"Yuri, don't you think you're being a little over optimistic?" I replied. "I don't think that-" I started, but Yuri slammed her nail file on the desk.
"I'm not having this! He likes you, can't you see that. Geez, you're so dense,"she sighed and picked up a little purple bag. It was a beauty bag and inside were various nail polishes. She took out a blue one and started doing little designs on her nails.
"Being the genius I am, I have created a plan for you," she insisted. "You will give him this letter I have wrote." She placed a pink letter on her desk. It had Nagito's name on it.
"Excuse me?" I rose my eyebrow. Letter? How's that going to help me? Even worse, how is a letter that Yuri wrote going to help me?"
"Let me finish! This letter contains me persuading Nagito to go on a date with you. I even already set up your date! I already put the name of the restaurant, a time and a date in there. You will sit at the restaurant and it's his choice whether he shows up or not," she explained. I placed my head in my hands and groaned.
"How about we just don't do this?" I muttered.
"Please I know you want to do it, you chicken," she sighed. I took the pink letter and stared at it. It doesn't sound so bad.
"Okay, I'll do it," I smiled and Yuri shot up from her chair.
"Perfect! I'm rooting for you!" she smiled. "Oh, I should probably give you the date details."
"Probably," I laughed a light laugh.——————————————————————

I'm late! I'm late! I'm late! I quickly finished my bagel and ran out of the door. It takes me an hour to get to school. I will get there at 9 am and school starts at 8:30. This is bad, being late is always bad. I ran to the train station and leaped over some luggages on the floor. I sighed in relief as I got on the train. There isn't anything I can exactly do now. I was going to be late whether I liked it or not. I looked at my phone screen and saw a message from Hajime. It said that he had something to give me at school. Oh gosh. I'm late and Hajime has to give me something. This couldn't get any worse. Perhaps, the good luck is that whatever Hajime is giving me will be a nice present and the bad luck is that I have to be late on my first day back. Maybe, maybe not. Such bad luck of being late has to result to good luck, right? I slumped down on my seat and put my bag down next to me. I looked at the person next to me. An old man with a silver watch. The watch was very loud and it's tick tocks could be heard in the silent area. I listened to the noise and sighed. This was going to be a long ride.——————————————————————-

Sadly, the weekend is over and it's back to school and back to class. I groaned and entered into the school. I rubbed my temples and looked at Izuru to my side. He was holding his phone with one hand and his black briefcase in the other. His phone screen showed some important documents that were stacked with writing. He was working on another case- which was usually all he does. I can't believe an eighteen year old can do that. It must be so hard for him. Father puts so much pressure on him and yet he is fine. Nothing fazes him. At all. Izuru somehow caught me staring at him even though he hasn't looked up from his phone screen once.
"Do you have anything you would like to say?" he asked, not looking up from his phone.
"Nope, all good," I sighed and carried on walking up the stairs. Finally, I was on the floor of my homeroom. Izuru was in a separate class from me so he had a couple of more stairs to climb.
"Have fun climbing those stairs!" I teased.
"Hm," he replied and walked up. I frowned, as I said before, nothing fazes him. Not even a little joke. When we were kids, we would joke around all the time. It was much more fun back then, but now I don't even see him anymore except from going to school. I walked into my homeroom and saw Souda sitting in his seat fidgeting with some new machine. Many people were here but not the person that I was looking forward to seeing. He was not here yet and hopefully he'll arrive soon. Nagito. He was coming to school today and I couldn't be more happier. I wanted to be there for him in any way possible. Luckily, the empty seat next to me was supposedly his which is good. Speaking of Nagito, I have to talk to Souda about something. I walked up to him and folded my arms. He looked at me confused.
"Hajime?" he asked.
"Remember that day when I asked you about the empty chair next to me?" I questioned him.
"Yeah?" he replied. He put the machine down on his desk.
"Why?" he asked. I frowned even more.
"You lied to me! You said that no one sat there," I frowned. He nervously laughed and scratched the back of his head.
"Yeah well after Nagito left for his suspension, Miss Yukizome said that we shouldn't tell the new student Hajime- you- about him. Dunno why," he shrugged. I looked at the desk where Miss Yukizome would sit every morning. Why would she say that? How odd. My eyes then glanced at the door of the classroom. Nagito isn't here yet. What happened to him?
