The past few days had been a drag for you

The past few days had been a drag for you. You hadn't gotten any sleep at all, so you spent most of you time just reading. The team visited you anytime they could, but you hadn't seen much of Spencer lately.

It saddened you a little, you had missed seeing his face and listening to his little rants. On the other hand, you felt relieved because it was like anytime he was near your heart would almost pound out of its chest. You hated that you felt this way about him.

It was now your last day at the hospital and you were now able to get up and walk by yourself. The wound on your thigh healed enough to where you didn't need anything to help you walk, which you were thankful for.

You stood alone in your room, packing things together in a bag that Derek had brought to you yesterday. You gathered up your books, stopping at the bag of your clothes you were wearing when they found you.

Your eye twitched, and you walked over to a trash can and tossed the clothes inside. You were glad that Emily had brought you some clothes from your apartment.

You would rather not be reminded of the worst moments of your life. Your whole body tensed just even thinking back to it.

Derek was supposed to be picking you up from the hospital to take you home. Even though you didn't want to, you wouldn't want to be a burden to any of your friends if you were to stay with any of them.

You suddenly felt a presence near you. That was a feeling that was never going to go away. You always felt eyes on you, even though you knew your kidnapper was dead.

You turned around to see Spencer standing in the doorway with his hand shoved in his pockets like always.

"Morgan sent me, something came up for him." He spoke out, awkwardly shifting his weight on each foot.

"Oh. Okay." You said quietly as you reached for your bag.

You watched as he quickly shuffled his way to you, taking your bag.

"You aren't supposed to be lifting things." He cleared his throat as soon as he said that.

You just looked at him, your straight face now turning into a small smile.

"Whatever you say, Doctor." You just shook your head and gestured your hand towards the door. "Lead the way."

He let out a small sigh, smiling softly. He walked out of the room, with you following behind.

He pushed the elevator button the went down, waiting a few seconds before it opened and he allowed you to go first.

You stood side by side, the elevator moving down floor by floor.
