"What is the thing that you actually treasure the most?" the teacher asked her student.Biglang umingay ang klase at halos lahat ng kamay ay nakataas.
"Yes, Mica?" suddenly called one of her student.
"Ma'am , my latest iphone. It was given to me by my parents when i've got a perfect score in the test." she confidently said.
"It was my teddy bear my grandma gave me"
" Since my parents is extremely busy they brought me my favorite Barbie dolls."
The teacher asked the same thing to the students, suddenly her eyes locked on someone, it was Denise- who's sitting at the back looking at the window.
"Denise, what's the thing you actually treasure the most?" a glimpse of smile aroused in her lips.
Biglang tumahimik ang klase at nagsimula ang mapanglait na bulungan.
' Ehh, wala naman yang maipagyayabang'
' Nagpapatawa ba si Ma'am?"
' Like eww'
Biglang tumayo si Denise at inayos ang kanyang makapal na salamin. Tiningnan ang bawat kaklase bago ibuka ang kanyang bibig.
" I don't have anything Ma'am " and that made the class bark into numerous laughter.
"Shh, class keep quite! " the teacher commanded with an authority on her voice.
"But, i am proud that i have this thing that you don't have" Denise said as she looked on her classmates one-by-one.
'Pinagsasabi mo jan? Eh kulang na lang na magmalimos sa kalsada eh ' told by her classmate.
" Maybe, i don't have iPhone's , branded clothes and even expensive toys. Yes , all of you can afford that, but you know what's the thing you can't actually afford?" she confidently faced her classmates.
"Time and care coming from your own family."
"Due for being busy of your parents they don't spent a lot of time bonding with you. You've got the happiness in material thing that made a huge difference in having a special bond between you and your family. That's the true essence of family."
and that made her teacher more impressed with her.
