Rumours of the fight have already circulated within the campus. Wherever I go, all they talk about are the famous duo. Some would also recognize me and point. Although the topic about me isn't as strong as theirs, being in the centre of attention is making me prickly. It's as if someone is shooting arrows of words behind me.
The arrows prickle. I thought, Can't they leave me alone?
"What a great way to start the day." I mumble.
I woke up this morning and see that the guys had already left the room.
It seems that I have to find the classroom on my own. My phone suddenly vibrates. When I read the message, I am shock to find the text is from them.
I don't remember giving them my number.
Jayde: Hey! It's Kayden. We're at the field since Jayde has morning practice while I went for some early exercise. Meet us where the fight took place. We're all in the same class.
Ashton: How'd you know my class and number?
Jayde: LOL. Mica told us and gave your contact just in case.
Mica?
"...Call me Mica, no need for formalities" Principal Mason shake her ha-
Oh. The principal.
Ashton: Sure. Thanks.
Jayde: NP!
I head to where the fight was. If my memory serves me right it is around this corner-
There, I see the familiar vending machine. I decide to wait. Whether I get late or not, at least I won't have to worry about getting lost. Plus, it's better to get in trouble with someone than my own. Then again, I'll definitely end up putting myself in the spotlight with those two around.
Back in my old school, I'd usually hang out on my own. I had friends but not close enough to spend most of my personal time with them. I don't do stuff to please them much but people find me friendly since I don't really put myself in their bad side. An average Joe... probably.
Deep in thought, Kayden's face gets close to me.
What the hell?! I thought.
"What the hell?!"
Okay. Not a thought.
Kayden laughs, "We've called you a number of times already. Jayde was ready to hit you. You seem daze."
I stare suspiciously at Jayde who shrugs and turns away. On his hand, a thin notebook is rolled in. He's really goong to hit me. Jayde elbows Kayden at the rib making him wince then looks at me, "Let's go. We'll be late."
He pulls a whining Kayden towards him and walks. I follow behind them. Both were bickering, while Kayden struggles off, Jayde kept scolding him about being slow.
I don't think that the 'dating someone from the other dorm' is a lie. But, they don't seem like normal friends either. Jayde is possessive of Kayden. Though, not enough to say that he gets jealous at every person who gets close to them.
Both continue to battle each other even when they try to open the door of the class. The teacher and students look at them.
The teacher sighs like his resigning to his own death. I sneak in and try not to get caught, but the teacher see me and decides to focus his assault on me instead.
"It seems that we not only have a new transfer student but a late one at that." His arms cross. I close my eyes for a moment then sheepishly grin, "Sorry. Since I'm new, I waited for Jayde and Kayden. I'm not familiar with the campus yet."
