"Okay so x + 5 - 32= 3x + 54?" Missy asked. "Negative forty point five," I answer fiddling with the zipper on my favorite sweatpants. I know what you're thinking... why is Delilah Matthews doing math homework with a tutor on a Sunday? Well my answer is this was surprisingly fun. I liked hanging out with Missy and I always have. She's not the mean girl everyone says she is. While she isn't as nice as Riley she definitely isn't mean.

Of course no one else knows that Missy is here. Especially not Riley and Maya. They'd go crazy. Maya isn't so bad, but Riley. Well Riley sees everything as black or white, light or dark, good or evil. This is part of the reason why I'm seen as the bad kid. Riley's like Cory, she still thinks you're either one or the other because she hasn't grown up yet. I'm more like Topanga, I know it's not that simple, theirs more than two sides to every story and until you hear every possible side and learn to understand each one then you'll never make a good judgment. Of course the difference between Topanga and I is that I don't just believe it I live by it.

Missy and I worked on the last question before deciding to hang out and watch a movie. "I'll get snacks," I tell her. "I'll come," she said. I nodded hopping off my bed and walking to the kitchen with Missy. "Airheads or Sour patch?" I ask. "Are those oversized gummy bears?" Missy asked. "Yea," I say smiling. She smiled back. "You know I've always loved cutting the arms and legs off of those things first, so the last thing it feels is pain," We said the last part at the same time before erupting into a fit of laughter.

It was nice...really nice, but it ended just as quickly. Soon enough the happiness and laughter was replaced by my chaotic older sister and her best friend. "Mom! Dad! We're ho-" Riley paused staring at Missy and and I. I roll my eyes and force a fake smile onto my face. "Hey Riles how was Lucas's house?" I ask. "Why is she here?" Riley asked. Missy and I looked at each other rolling our eyes. "She's helping me," I tell her. "With what, your evil scheme?" Maya asked. "With math," Missy said like it was the most obvious thing ever. "Yeah right," Riley says. "What, I can't need help in math now?" I ask. "Why would a cool person need help with math, don't you have nerdy people do it for you?" Riley asked.

I roll my eyes. This girl really thinks I'm that much of a bitch. "Hey lets go start the movie," I say. Missy agrees and follows me to my room to start watching the movie. "So is it always like this when you have friends over?" She asked. "Nah...," I say pausing as I watch her frown, "I'm usually better at hiding it from my sister." A small grin appears on Missy's face. Missy looked at her phone rolling her eyes, "I have to go, Adrien and Brielle are coming for dinner," Missy explains. "You're siblings right," I say. "Yes," she said gathering her stuff. "Is it safe to go out the door?" She asked jokingly. "Eh I dunno, you might get eaten alive by four morons," I teased. "I'll see you at school Delilah," Missy said gracefully slipping out the window.

"Open the door Dahlia!!!!" Topanga yells. I open the door, "Hi Topana," I say purposely fucking up her name. "Topanga," she said. "Delilah," I say smirking. I love pissing her off. "You had Missy Bradford in our house?!" Cory seethed. "Yes," I say. "Why?" Topanga asked. "There's this thing called math and it's super confusing so Missy is helping me with it," I explained sarcastically. "I don't want her in my house," Cory said.

Cory glared daggers at me and I rolled my eyes at him packing my bag. "Where do you think you're going?" She asked. "Out! I have something better to do than this," I say grabbing my bag. "No more Missy in my house," Cory said. "Cory she's my friend!!" I tell him. "She's a bully," he said. "Why? Because she liked a guy that Riley likes? Because she actually asked him out? Because she thought she could do that and not live in Riley's world?" I ask. "You should be taking our side," Riley said. "Well I'm not, you and Riley need to grow up," I tried. It's the truth I'm not Riley, I'm my own person.

Next day later
I wake up to the usual drama of the usual day. Riley talking with Maya about Lucas. "Delilah are you going to eat with us?" He asked. "Maybe for dinner, but not this morning," I tell him grabbing my stuff. "I brought you a bar," he said handing me a granola bar. "Thanks little man," I tell him giving him a hug. "Now go on... we both got school and none of us can be late," I smile lightly pushing him out of my room and locking my door.

As I climb the final steps of the ladder I took in my surroundings. New York wasn't so bad, it isn't as cool as everyone thinks it is, but it isn't terrible either. I walk right to the corner store across the street. "I want a bacon egg and cheese Pablo!" I shout grabbing my money. "Here Delilah," he said handing me the food and I hand him the money. "Thanks," I say with a smile.

When I get to the subway I plug in my headphones and ignore everyone, when I get to school I do the rest of my makeup in the bathroom and then head to my class. I was in a bit of a mood, and I might've been a little stupid but I'm okay with it. I even decided to be extra petty and sit next to Missy in science just to show that I don't give a flying fuck about what Cory has to say. Still I couldn't shake the feeling of jealousy that I get every time Riley and Cory interact. Every time he calls Riley his daughter in public, or does something mildly embarrassing to get Lucas to not talk to her I feel it. Why doesn't he care about me like he does Riley? Why didn't he go crazy when I had my first kiss? Why does he act like I don't exist at school. And why the fuck am I so short?!! Okay that last one was unrelated, but seriously I'm 12 and standing at like 5'2 while Riley's 5'6. It's kind of annoying.
