Sunlight streamed through my curtains.

My lips still tingled from the dream.

I sighed and climbed out of bed. Tyson and Percy were still snoring in their bunks. It was early hours of the morning. The clock on the wall read 5:39.

Silently, I crept into the bathroom to get ready to head down to the beach for an early morning swim.

I grabbed a towel to spread out on the sand. It was a pleasantly warm morning so I wasn't cold as I walked down in my bikini. I tied my hair up into a messy small bun to keep out of my face.

I unfolded the towel onto the sand and walked into the sea. Once I reached waist-deep, I pushed into a swim, diving under the surface. It was a handy ability to breath under water. A few schools of fish greeted me excitedly. We had a small conversation before they decided to move on.

In the water, I didn't allow my brain to think. I simply swam, popping up to the surface every now and again to float on my back for a few minutes.

"Ahoy there!" A voice called out.

I ducked into the water, startled. Popping up, I saw a jogger on the shore, smiling and waving. Usually the magical barrier didn't allow any mortals to cross over into camp, but clearly this one had got through. I sighed, and imagined the water around me soaking me. In an instant, the water dampened my skin and hair.

I began to paddle back to shore, knowing I would have to shepherd the man out of camps grounds.

The man grinned at me. He was wearing nylon running shorts and a New York City Marathon T-shirt. He was slim and fit, with salt-and-pepper hair and a sly smile. His eyes twinkled. He looked kind of familiar, but I couldn't place where I had met him before.

There was nothing around camp except farm lands and woods. How far had this man ran?

Nevertheless, I smiled kindly at him.

"Good morning, sir. You out training?" I asked him as I grabbed my towel, rubbing my hair with it.

"Ah, not really. I was hoping to be taking a break from so much running around." He said, sighing. I tilted my head to the side.

"Well, would you care to join me? I was just going to head for a short walk down the shore." I pointed to the direction that would lead us out of camp.

"Trying to get rid of me so soon, Cassie?" I narrowed my eyes. His blue eyes sparkled with mischief.

I took a step back. My throat tightened. He had the same elfish features the Stoll brothers had - that the entire Cabin Eleven had. I forced a smile.

"Forgive me, Lord Hermes. I thought you were a mortal for a second." He grinned.

"Didn't think children of Poseidon could get wet in water." He pointed out my soaking body.
