Malfoy's house was not like what she imagined. At all.
She had thought his place would be all black and green like the manor but it was not.She felt embarrassed to be so prejudiced against him.But you couldn't blame her could you? Malfoy and her weren't friends in hogwarts, and what he acted like and her not-so-pleasant time in the manor gave her the impression that he was one of those tough emotion-less dark business man just like lucius malfoy had been before the war.
The walls into the building were a pretty shade of white and the walls facing the outside world were glass, just like hers.
And his couches in the living room were brown and very modern-looking and simple. His house was the ideal home for a rich guy like him.The furniture was also either glass or authentic wood.
Very unlike the furniture and sofa's in the manor which were all grand and detailed in every bit, either made out of one of the most expensive obsidian rocks or dark wood and cement.
Last time she saw it,which was just a month ago when she had visited the manor for a re-check against dark items. You see,his parents had moved into the french manor in northern france and cut off with any dark members or death eaters.
And they had continued their billionaire business over there and Draco malfoy was left here to control the company from london.
And that's a reason why Hermione didn't completely despise him now."Not what you expected huh?"
The voice almost made her jump, but she hid it quickly, turning to face a very amused malfoy smirking at her, about to laugh out hard at her priceless face.
"Not at all,if I be honest. It's like you've taken a 180 degrees turn in just a year." She spoke, not wanting to lie because she knew how a slytherin could detect lies and she also wasn't in the mood to embarrass herself.
"I'm flattered." He replies dramatically.
She rolls her eyes, which malfoy does not notice and sits down opposite him on the elegant brown couch.
"So you like tea or coffee?" He turns to her.
"I'm a Coffee person,I suppose you like tea?" She answers him with another question.
He chuckles,in a polite way though. "No,actually I'm a coffee person as well."
She raises an eyebrow. "Oh? Never would've guessed..."
In all truth, malfoy seemed too elegant to like coffee. He had high standards and so did she,but those endless cups of coffee she was used to having in late nights in her quarters that kept her awake were the reason she even drank coffee."Probably because the malfoy's are known for their expensive taste in tea." He replies, waving his wand around.
"I didn't know that either." she confesses, feeling rather stupid at that awkward moment.
"Well, we have a tea line in Germany if you must know. That's where my great great grandfather lived first, and they started it back then in 1675 and since then, everyone in the malfoy lineage modifies it and it's still there. It's pretty famous for it's tea too, I don't control it though, my mother does." He replies quite humbly. (For a malfoy that is.)
He hadn't expected to see interest in her eyes, most girls were never interested in all this stuff. This happened to be the first time a woman was listening intently to what he had to say about his business and it was an attractive trait to have in his opinion.
"That's quite a thing to work on.Admirable if I must say." She commented,in deep thought.
The idea of a tea company working so grandly since about 3 centuries seemed grand and admirable to her.
