"Have you seen Carri at all today?" Lily asked as she , Marlene, Delphinia, and Kim sat at the end of their beds.

"Nah, I haven't seen her since our last class together," Kim said. "And that was at 2:00."

"Where could she be?" Delphinia said looking up at the ceiling.

"She didn't say she had any plans today, did she?" Marlene asked.

"No," Lily said. A sharp tap sounded at the window. "Hey, Delph, isn't that your owl?"

Delphinia looked over at the window. "Oh yeah, it is." Delphinia got up from her bed, and walked to the window. Opening the window, Delphinia took the small parchment tied to the owl's leg. She closed the window and walked back to her bed with the note in her hand.

"Who's it from?" Kim asked.

"Ahh," Delphinia said. She unfolded the parchment.

Mademoiselle Delphinia Clarke, your presence is needed in the boys dormitory at this very instant! We are in dire need of your assistance!
Yours truly,
Messrs Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs

"Oh! It's from the boys," Delphinia said.

"What do they want?" Lily asked.

"For me to come up to their dorm..."

"Oooh, what for?" Marlene said enthusiastically.

"I don't know. I guess I'll let you know when I get back," Delphinia said. She got up from her bed again. Walking to the door, Delphinia said, "You guys keep it down in here."

"You know you're the rowdy one," Lily called when Delphinia shut the door.

She set off down the girls' stairs. Opening the door to the common room, Delphinia slipped out of it, glided across the wall, and slipping in through the door to the boys' dormitories. The spiral staircase was dizzying, but Delphinia finally made it to the hall in which she knew her friends' dormitory was.

"One... two... three.... fourth door on the left," Delphinia muttered. She stopped at said door, and knocked twice on it. She waited in silence for a few seconds, but then a voice called, "It's open!"

Delphinia twisted the handle, and opened the door. She stepped into the dorm, and instantly gasped and turned her back on the scene.

Sirius stood in the middle of the room with a loose white towel hanging low around his hips. James was sitting shirtless on his bed. Though both Remus and Peter were fully dressed.

"What's the matter, Phin?" James chuckled.

"When you owled me to come up here, I expected a casual chat, y'know where everyone is wearing clothes!"

"Oh it's not like you've never seen me half naked," Sirius said.

"MATE!" James shrieked.

"What the hell happened between you two?" Remus said.

"Oh would all of you shut up! It's not like we've never swam in the lake together," Delphinia said.

"Oh," Peter sighed. "That makes sense."

Delphinia could sense the other three agree silently. "So what did you four owl me here for?" Delphinia said, rocking back and forth on her feet, still turned away from Sirius.

"We needed you for a prank," James said.

"You really made me come all the way up here so you could use me as an unnecessary pawn in another one of your pranks?"

"Well, yeah," Sirius said. "Why don't you just come in and talk. We promise it's nothing bad for you."

"I'm not even turning around until you, Sirius, put some clothes on, and James you need to put on a shirt as well," Delphinia ordered.

"Fine," Sirius said.

A few shuffling noises rung through Delphinia's ears, and still she rocked back and forth on her feet. Moving her eyes around the wall she could see from where she stood, Delphinia sighed and pushed the door shut. After about 5 minutes, Sirius said, "Come on in."

Delphinia turned around. She let out her breath when everyone was fully dressed. Looking around the room, though, something was off. James, Peter, and Remus were all sitting at the end of their beds. However, Sirius sat on the floor, and his bed's curtains were drawn shut.

"Why-"

James cut her off. "So about the prank!" He seemed to have noticed her staring at Sirius's bed. Weird, Delphinia thought.

"Yes, we needed to figure out a way to get Evans to fall for James here," Sirius said.

Delphinia let out a loud laugh. "You really think I'm going to help you prank one of my best friends just so Jamie can woo her?"

"I told you to stop calling me that," James mumbled.

"I'll stop when you stop calling me Phin," Delphinia said. She folded her arms. "And what were you guys even hoping to do? Put Lily in fake danger so that you can come to her rescue?"

"That's actually a good idea!" Peter said.

"No, it's stupid," Remus said. "We-"

A soft sneeze issued from behind Sirius's bed curtains. Everyone turned to look at the four poster. Delphinia scowled. Before anyone could stop her, she walked up to the bed and flung open the drawings.

"CARRI?" Delphinia exclaimed.

Carri Wood, Delphinia's short, caramel haired, freckly friend lay tangled in Sirius's white bed sheets. She was hurriedly trying to cover her self up, for she only had on underwear.

"What in the bloody hell are you doing here?" Delphinia yelled.

"She's-"

"I know exactly what she's doing here, Peter," Delphinia said outraged. "I should have asked why! And why you dimwits would ask me up here while you were obviously trying to hide the fact she is here?"

"Delphinia, listen," Sirius said. He stood up from his spot on the ground. He then stood in between Delphinia and his bed, hiding Carri, who was sitting up with the sheets wrapped around her. "Me and her... we're... together."

"You're what?" Delphinia said suspiciously. She glanced over Sirius's shoulder at Carri.

"We are boyfriend and girlfriend," Carri piped up.

"Oh please," Delphinia laughed. She then glanced around at Remus, then James, then Peter, all three of them nodded then looked away. She frowned. "Really?"

"Yeah," Sirius said.

"So why'd I get called up h- wait.... You guys wanted to get me and the rest of the girls out of our dormitory so Carri could sneak back up there, right?"

Sirius nodded slightly.

"Well, great! Just great! Thanks for being so truthful!" Delphinia said. She backed away from Sirius and turned toward the door. "Thanks for being such great friends, Carri!"

Delphinia was gone from the dorm in a second, leaving behind nothing but the lingering sound of the door she slammed on her way out.
