taking a look around the girls room, you felt weird. the piles of stuffed animals, the posters, and even her somewhat oddly large collection of romance manga was gone. all that remained was a framed picture of the two of you, sitting neatly on the desk.

"alright n/n~! im packed!"

"n/n? its been a while since you called me by that stupid nickname-"

kaede let out a laugh, it went on for a minute before she sank to her knees, her shaking shoulders proved that she wasnt laughing anymore. looking down at her you smiled before crouching down in front of her, "i have your number alright? we wont lose touch." she looked up, her breaths were still slightly shaky and her eyes were now red. the perfect makeup she always sported was now smudged and streaked across her face,

"promise? and a promise like you mean it, not one of those where you say one thing but drop it halfway through!"

"i promise. we'll talk every week. hell maybe ill visit you sometime!"

she giggled before throwing herself onto you, the same way she had always given hugs, but this one held a heavy weight to it. it felt like if you let go she would slip away and that would be it.

"sucks that i cant go through with the graduation ceremony with everyone else." she slowly pulled away before grabbing the photo on the table, "damn, this mustve been what? first year of junior high?" she sighed before placing it in her bag.

closing the door to the room she closed her eyes for a minute before opening them again, in a soft voice all she said was "thanks" before turning to you with a grin,

"now n/n! lets get going, i have a plane to catch~"

she stood before you, all of her belongings in bags by her side, her smile hadn't left her face. she gently set her things down before throwing her arms around your neck yet again, she laughed before pulling away as a few tear slipped down her face,

"ill call you when i land 'kay?"

"okay. be safe. i-i love you. dont forget that okay? ooh! and you are so so so talented, dont let the others say anything else about that okay?"

"pfft- i love you too you weirdo."

"im always here. across the world or not."

she nodded before grabbing her bags from the floor beside her, she turned before starting towards the check in,

'dont turn back, dont turn back, dont turn back-'

you swiftly turned on your heel as the tears rolled down your face one after another, you let out a shaky breath as you stepped outside into the parking lot.

getting in the car and shutting the door you laughed to yourself,

'goddamn'

you sighed as you pulled into the familiar driveway before getting out and knocking on the door. there wasnt an immediate response as you sat there for a second. when the door swung open you didnt have time to process who it was before you were taken into an embrace, you eased into it before you pulled away. you were met with a pair of concerned eyes that looked you up and down, "are you okay?" you gave a half-hearted nod before the lump in your throat appeared again. you gave a strained laugh as you followed the boy inside, "so? when is your flight?" he bit his lower lip slightly as he looked at you, "in two weeks-" your eyes widened as you looked up at him, "a week after graduation?" he nodded as you covered your face with your hands,

"this is fucking hysterical. you leave for argentina and kae and iwaizumi leave to the states right?" you sniffled a bit for a second before he grabbed your hands to uncover your face, "im sorr-" you pushed a finger to his lips as you gave him a harsh glare, "oikawa tooru, do not finish that sentence. im so proud of you and this is your dream."

"but your not happy."

"who would be happy that their boyfriend is leaving forever. im not going to stop you though. i love you." he smiled a bit before pulling you into another hug, "im not gonna forget you. i love you too much for that." you laughed before pushing him off you, 

"so. what do ya say we go watch those stupid romcoms you like so much? i need a serious serotonin boost after all this-" he laughed before landing a kiss on your lips, 

"i say that sounds wonderful, love."
