A Korean Dream - 1

Author's note: Timeline and everything regarding Korea is from imagination. Imagine that the conversations are happening in Korean but I am just going to write everything in English as it will be irritating to see the translation while reading the story. Imagine Priya is well versed in korean language.

Priya could not close her eyes because of all the excitement that was going through her. She turned and looked at everyone around her. The kids who caused a havoc sometime before and the adults around her were sound asleep. She was the only one who could not stop smiling and looking out of the window. She was well aware that she was leaving her home and her comfort zone but this is now or never. She dozed off thinking about her family in India. Her heart was full of happiness with a little bit of sadness.

She woke up and saw the sun shining brightly from her window. She could see the runway of Incheon Airport, Seoul. She could no longer contain her grin. She was smiling ear to ear. She was going to land in Seoul, Republic of Korea. The efforts she had put for ten years was all to see this day. she could not see anything around her she was completely surrounded by her dreams about Korea. She took her cabin luggage and started walking towards the exit of the plane. She was both nervous and anxious about her life here. She kept muttering 'khamsamhida' (Thank you) to all the staffs present in the plane.

She looked around taking in the surroundings. She took her luggage and went to wait for Kim Soo Bin shi( calling someone with respect in Korea). Soo Bin was one of the members of Diya's Entourage. She was the assistant of Park Min Gu , Diya's manager. She went to the arrivals and saw a name board which said,' Priya from Chennai(India) , Welcome:)'. Priya smiled and went towards the girl.

'Hello soo bin shi , Nice to meet you.', she said. One of the main things on Priya's list when she decided to work in Korea was to learn their language. As she researched through every possible detail about Korea she came to know that everyone in Korea do not understand English. They do not have that much craze about learning the language. This was one of the main reasons that attracted her. They strictly stick to their own language not falling into craze of foreign languages.

'Hello Priya nice to meet you too. Shall we leave? Diya will be waiting for us at the place of her shoot.' Soo Bin replied. They both went to a black SUV which was waiting at the entrance. Priya saw the car and she could not stop smiling. The car was black in color and it was an SUV 7-seater. She settled in the middle with Soo Bin. She introduced Priya to the person driving the car. Priya looked out the window and kept seeing the scenes passing through. It was a 20 minute drive to Hotel Ritz where Diya was currently shooting for a magazine. Priya followed Soo Bin and went to the garden where the shoot was in progress. She smiled and looked at Diya who was stunning. She was with Choi Moon Bin. She just glanced at him and started seeing the staff and how they were co-ordinating. Diya was all smiles when the shoot was over. She came running and hugged Priya.

'Hey!! Welcome to Republic of Korea! How was your flight?' she asked. Priya replied,' Hi Diya! yes, flight was really good. It was long but I enjoyed it. Finally we are meeting up in korea. We can catch up once your work is done.' All the while they were talking Choi Moon Bin stood by their side and kept looking at Priya. Diya saw that and introduced them.

'Moon Bin shi this is Priya. She has come here to be a Program Director.' she said. Moon Bin bowed and Priya responded in the same way. She learnt about Korean culture and their etiquette. 'Moon Bin shi , Nice to meet you. You are the lead vocalist from the band CN17(Inspired from the band CNBLUE ). I really love your songs and your band.' she said.

He smiled and replied,' Oh you have good knowledge of Korean culture and also about our pop culture. i guess you are my fan.' He winked at her. Priya took a step back and glared at him. He then smiled and said,' Just kidding! Diya is a good friend of mine. I am safe you know.'

Diya also smiled,'Moon Binah( when talking casually) do not tease her. She just landed.' She faced Priya and said,' Do not mind him. You will get used to him. You must be tired let's just go home. I am done here.' and dragged her away shouting a bye to Moon Bin. Priya also turned and bowed to him in confusion. She thought she will never get used to playful guys like him. She planned to be very careful when she was here especially with men.

Diya spoke about various activities she was associated with and the plans of how Priya can get started as they made way to their home. Priya was going to stay at Diya's house. Priya felt very tired due to lack of sleep and the time difference. She planned to call her parents once she settled at home. She already texted them so that they will not worry.

'Anyways I am so happy you are finally here. You look very tired so take two days to rest. You can start with the activities regarding work from Monday. You can go to your room and rest all you want.' said Diya. Priya just nodded her head. She planned to start researching about her work as soon as possible. They reached after 30 minutes and Priya saw a big gate. She has seen Diya's house before when they video calls but the house was beautiful beyond her imagination. It was a simple one storied house with a big lawn and a garden area with outdoor furniture and a swing. Diya opened the door and urged her to get inside. Everything inside was beautiful. It was well decorated and she could see a big living room, two bedrooms and a kitchen. Diya showed Priya her room. Priya thanked her and went to her room.

Priya's room was in first floor. She opened the door and it was simple and neatly decorated in purple (one of her favorite color). The bed was queen size and was neatly kept with 4 pillows. It had a study desk, a cabinet and a big wardrobe. She updated her parents that she reached safely and after that she really wanted to hit the bed. She showered and went to bed thinking that she will arrange her things later. Tomorrow will be a new day new beginning for her.
