I was shocked at first to get a notification from Ridge. I didn't mean that we're not going to communicate at all. As much as possible, I want to be civil or maybe friends with him?

We really just need a break from each other. I can't be the reason for his downfall, and I won't be one.

As I was approaching the door, I heard Biscuit's meow. It seems like he wants to go outside, but I find it very unusual since Biscuit is very lazy. He rarely go outside, what's up with him today?

Baka ang ipinadala ni Ridge ay lumpia? That can't be it, right? Anong koneksyon nung pagpunta niya sa shelter?

Nang mapansin ni Biscuit ang mga yabag ko ay pumunta siya sa 'kin. He purred when I scratched  his cheek. Binuhat ko siya sa papunta sa pinto, and then I realized, ang mga "meow" na naririnig ko ay hindi lang galing kay Biscuit. It came from another cat!

Holy shit. Ridge just adopted a cat from the shelter and gave it to me!

When I opened the door, I saw a small white cat in a basket. The cat looks so small when I held him, its paws are in a delicate color of pinkish white. I knelt down to show Biscuit his new sibling. He smelled it at first then he started meowing after, he also licked the new cat.

"Biscuit, what should we name him or her?" I told Biscuit, as if he's going to answer me. I was about to go inside when I noticed there's a letter inside the basket. It's Ridge's handwriting, I recognized it because I already saw his penmanship when we studied in the summer.

Dali-dali kong nilagay ang pusa sa basket at dahan-dahang inilapag sa katabi ng matress para kay Biscuit.

I was shaking when I opened the letter. I noticed his neat handwriting, even his penmanship is to die for. How could I let go someone like you, Ridge?

"Please accept this little gift :)

I know how much you like cats, I saw him at the shelter the other day and immediately thought of you. He's white, clingy and very energetic, a very good company aside from me of course ;) He'll be with you, he'll be my little proxy when I'm not around. I want you to know that I completely understand why you're doing this. Maybe we got it wrong on the first try, huh? Waiting for you has always been a freedom for me, but I guess it became suffocating for you.

All the things our feelings put us through, all the pain I had to see you go through. Those are the things I’ll never be able to erase from my memory. You are someone I’ll always look back on and smile. I’ll continue counting down the days until maybe we can run into each other again.
