I made some bone deep enemies in my troubling days. One of them a neighbour. A really stubborn, childish and annoying one.
I had never thought I would ever appreciate the significance of having an enemy in my life. But with time I did. "The peace in the storm" that was him. We had all kinds of wars, you name it. From physical fights to cold wars, from abusing to making fun of each other, from blood to tearing the house down. That was us in the most summarised way. He was the utter disturbance in my life, turning my entire day upside down just by showing up at 6 am at the door. We were children, but with time every fight got serious with mature logic and reasoning.
It took me years of silent thoughts and overview to actually realise the importance of his enmity. The brainless hollow puppet that I started becoming was once again put to a temporary pause. My transformation took a sudden stop. The fights made a once forgotten side of childishness in me, resurface. Without knowing, I was still being kept attached to my authoritative and bubbly side. My self confidence made a boost with every fight I won, with every football, every argument. Now that I see it, it wasn't all bad fighting with him. It wasn't all bad wanting to break his nose when he broke my favourite wall clock. It was a mere indication of the attachment to this place, I started calling home now.
Although, I still hope he never reads this, because it will give him a fortune worth of reasons to feast at my brain.
'There is always light in the darkness' yes there is. Even if its the embers of a fire. You may not be able to touch it, you may even hate it for the dangers and discomfort it may cause. But it will also provide you with the temporary warmth you might need at the time.
Not all things you find as a problem are actually problems. They might be a mere path of distraction from the bigger issue. I'm sure a stroll in the garden wouldn't hurt you before you face the war again. Sometimes even your worst situation may be a cradle to calm your demons.
I suggest you look around, go through your list of problems and find that one problem that acts like your protection. An issue that holds your hand and leads you a bit closer to your destination. You might hate it right now, might as well hate my words but one day at 3am you will find them coming true. Because really
There is always dawn in darkness and a rainbow in the heavy storm.
" 'There is always something that You have and others dont.'-O.M
We want many things in our lives. Desires, wishes, desperation and rebel. It is not important for us to get everything. It is not important to react to everything we don't get.
There is no way we get over the feeling of rejection, of feeling empty without it. Yet look around you while your at it, YOU have many things that others want, that others can walk thru hell for. Be thankful and enjoy, while it lasts. Bcz nothing lasts forever and It is the sad truth of life. "
