A/N: Hey y'all!
sorry about the long wait for this update. I have a stomach ache and all i want to do is lie in my hammock and read the Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes (which is gr8, btw). But I also wanted to get the next chapter finished and there's no internet outside, so I'm currently sitting inside on a very hard wooden bench. 😒
Anyway, hope it's worth it!

Draco knew from years of being Pansy's friend that she wasn't a morning person. However, unlike Harry, she actually got ready before leaving her dorm in the morning and needed time. Draco knew she normally set an alarm, but it appeared in the excitement of the night before, she had forgotten.
Draco had always woken early whether he meant to or not, and was stuck waiting for Pansy to wake up. He had tried multiple times to wake Pansy from her slumber, but she was dead to the world, and nothing Draco could do would change that.
Millicent Bulstrode had set an alarm however, and Draco breathed a sigh of relief when it went off, and Pansy began stirring. She yawned and started and then seemed to remember Draco and sat bolt upright.
"Draco?!" she cried, "Dray! Where are you?"
Draco slithered towards her over the foot of the bed. She looked very relieved to see him, but her relief was apparently not shared by her dorm mates.
"Draco? Draco?!" screeched Astoria Greengrass. "You aren't telling me you brought him in here, are you?!"
Pansy smirked at the other girl. "Draco ran into a bit of trouble yesterday and I allowed him to sleep with me!"
Astoria's face was a mixed of jealousy and revolution as she gaped at Pansy "But isn't he a snake...? You didn't really- !"
Pansy grinned, looking very smug. "Tori, just because you've been itching to get in Dray's pants since the beginning of time doesn't mean everyone else is that desperate! I would never take advantage of his current state in that way!"
Astoria looked absolutely horrified and glanced nervously from Pansy to the pale snake laying at the bottom of the bed. "Please!" she cried sounding offended, "Have some decency!"
"Awww, Honey, I'm a Slytherin! When have we ever had decency?"
Astoria looked highly affronted. "But," she finally wailed, "this is a girl's dormitory!"
"Tori, you're so innocent!" Pansy cooed. "Do you really think no guys have ever slept in here?" At this she gave Millicent a knowing look. "I'm remembering a certain Theo-"
"Just stop it!" Millicent cried out in alarm. Astoria was scandalized and Millicent was redder than any of the Weasleys' hair.
"Oh!" Pansy said innocently. "Ok! You could have always just said!"
The two other girls glared at her as they turned back to their beds. As they had been talking Pansy had gotten herself mostly ready. Walking back over from the door to the bathroom she picked up Draco.
"Come on, Dray! Breakfast time!"
As they walked out of the dorm, Astoria shot Draco a last, traumatized look.
The Great Hall was already full of the sounds of laughter and chatter from the four house tables, when Pansy arrived with Draco. Draco was surprised (even though he later realized he shouldn't have been), when Pansy walked towards the Slytherin table. He hadn't eaten there for the past month. Glancing around the hall, Draco immediately registered the absence of a particular head of messy black hair. Harry was nowhere to be seen.
