My Hero (Jackie x Marvin Fluff)

"Oh my god Marvin, what happened to you?" Jackie snickered as he watched Marvin walk into their apartment, his clothes covered in trash and rotten food.

"Needless to say, tonight wasn't my best performance." Marvin grumbled as he flipped Jackie off, going to their bedroom to grab clean clothes.

"Aw, I'm sorry kitten." Jackie followed Marvin and hugged him from behind, wrapping his arms around his waist with a gentle kiss to his neck.

Marvin purred softly in content and leaned against Jackie, closing his eyes as he held a bundle of clothes in his arms. "It happens sometimes...want company tonight during your stakeout?"

"Absolutely. Please shower first though, you smell horrible." Jackie chuckled and pulled away, ruffling his hair.

Marvin hissed at him before going into the bathroom and shutting the door, getting undressed and dumping his disgusting clothes into the hamper before turning on the shower and getting in.

While Marvin took his shower, Jackie got changed into his jumpsuit to go out later that night on a stakeout, also packing a couple blankets and some food.

Marvin eventually got out of the shower and dried off before getting dressed, drying off his hair before going out to where Jackie was and hugging him. "I'm clean now, where's my cuddles?"

Jackie chuckled and turned around, scooping Marvin up bridal style to make Marvin squeak in surprise. "Right here kitten."

Marvin giggled and wrapped his arms around Jackie's neck as Jackie brought them up the fire escape to sit on the roof, nuzzling his neck with a content purr.

Jackie laid a blanket down before sitting, Marvin in his lap as he sat the food aside within reach should they want some.

"Be real, is this a stakeout or a date?" Marvin asked with a raised eyebrow, folding his arms across his chest.

"Both." Jackie shrugged, kissing Marvin's head. "You're always busy in the day with your shows, and I'm always busy at night with my hero shit...I don't get to see you much."

"I'm sorry." Marvin mumbled, snuggling into Jackie as he looked out at the horizon.

"No need to apologize kitten, I get it." Jackie played with his hair, wrapping an arm around Marvin's waist as he also looked out at the horizon.

They sat in comfortable silence for a moment before Jackie heard shouting down below in a nearby alley with his super hearing, the hero immediately scaling down the building to help.

Marvin quickly followed, running after Jackie before skidding to a stop as he watched Jackie tackle someone with a knife that was trying to rob someone.

"Jackie!" Marvin shouted when he saw someone else armed with a gun run up, Jackie turning to look at Marvin before the gun went off.

Jackie jolted in surprise, looking at his chest where blood was starting to blossom through his jumpsuit before he looked back up at Marvin and collapsed to the ground, the two attackers running away while Marvin dived to catch Jackie with an anguished sob.

"K-k...kitten it's okay..." Jackie smiled weakly and reached up, caressing Marvin's cheek with his thumb as blood pooled steadily around them.

"I-I'm gonna call Henrik-"

"Kitten, I-I don't have that much time..." Jackie interrupted gently with a wince, holding his chest. "I need you."

Marvin paled, biting his lip. "Jackie I'm n-not that good at magic, I fucked up my show earlier today!"

"Hey...where's your PMA? Y-you...you can..." Jackie trailed off as his eyes fluttered shut, slipping into unconsciousness.

Marvin whimpered in panic, shaking as he held Jackie tight. "I-I'll try." He whispered, taking a shaky deep breath as he watched his hands glow a gentle blue.

"Please work...please work..." Marvin begged tearfully as he kissed Jackie's forehead, pressing a hand to the wound to try and heal it.

At first nothing happened, but gradually the wound slowly closed up, Jackie gasping as his eyes shot open. "M-Marvin?"

Marvin sighed in relief with a weak smile, his vision spinning as he passed out against Jackie.

Jackie scooped him up bridal style and stood, checking his chest to find himself uninjured. "Good job kitten." He murmured to Marvin as he carried him back to their apartment, kissing his head.

Once inside, Jackie laid Marvin in bed before getting changed, curling up by him. "My hero." He murmured before falling asleep by him
