Chapter 1: The Royals Meeting

Elaine rushed over to the cafeteria, sprinting as fast a she could on her two legs. Oh why hadn't she checked her phone earlier for Arlo's message? Elaine, being a good student ALWAYS shut her phone down during class had missed Arlo, Wellston's King's message! 'Oh no I'm going to be in trouble!' she thought worriedly. Thankfully, there were no annoying low-tiers or fake Jokers today to stand in her way. She burst in the cafeteria panting and saw to her surprise, only Arlo and Isen. Elaine blushed as soon as the King turned his gaze to her and she shyly waved. "Where are the others?" she asked confusedly as she approached the table. "Blyke's coming and Remi is probably dealing with one of those rouge Jokers." waved Arlo airly. "You aren't helping her?" said Elaine in surprise. "Yo Elaine she'll be fine! She's the QUEEN of Lightning so she'll be alright. Amiright bro?" said Isen smirking. "Oh, uhhh yeah!" muttered Elaine looking down at her feet. "Isen, I said your here to help us, not to make our healer worried."said Arlo staring down at Isen. "Uh okay, TOTALLY! Pleasedon'tkillmeRemi'snothere." laughed Isen nervously. "It's fine. Elaine take a seat, the others will be here soon."ordered Arlo pulling out a chair for Elaine. Elaine blushed EVEN HARDER and quickly took a seat. 'Is it just me or is her looking even better today' wondered Elaine taking a few peeks at the King. Indeed Elaine adored the King and couldn't help but have a crush on him. Suddenly the doors burst open and Blyke zoomed in and grabbed a chair. Remi then came after her cotton candy hair bouncing lightly behind her back.  Arlo gave a small grin and said "Good. Now that everyone is he, lets get started.".

"Wait a second Remi are you KA-RA-ZEE????" shouted Isen after hearing Remi's suggestion. "Yo dude SHUSH! This is a private meeting and maybe it we got John to join us, it would be FINE! I mean NO more fake Jokers would be awesome!" interjected Blyke disagreeing with his best friend. Elaine squirmed and Remi immediately noticed. "Hey Elaine are you okay? I know you and John's relationship isn't exactly the best but don't pay attention 'kay?" whispered the Remi. Elaine nodded and shot Remi a grateful look. Seraphina and Remi were the BEST FRIENDS EVER! The Royals kept on debating the Joker Incident, Kidnappings, and their conversation led to Ember and the vigilantes. "Rei DIED??" Elaine whisper-cried staring at Arlo blushing and feeling mutely horrified at the same time. "Yeah.." sighed Remi dejectingly. "Chill Pinky. EMBER really is leaving us confused. First Seraphina's ability-loss and then that EMBER lady." Arlo sighed loudly. "Hey Arlo, its alright. We'll figure it out even with our current problems." said Elaine twiddling her fingers. "Well that's bold of you Elaine." stated Arlo and Elaine blushed and gave a shy smile. However the moment was completely ruined by Blyke when he  said, "WAIT! Arlo your aunt's coming over to live right! She's part of the authorites! Maybe she could give us some clues! And if we manage to solve all of the major and minor problems, maybe the school could be peaceful again..". "I agree with Blyke!" nodded Remi enthusiaticly. "I had well....a talk with John and the low and mid-tiers seem to be bullied A LOT!  That is horrible and well I feel like we are behind EVERYTHING!He insisteded that the world is better without Elite, high, or God-tiers" she muttered sighing. "Hmmmm, I wonder if the authorites have anything that could help." said Isen, reading his thoughts out loud.                                                                                         

  "NO." interuppted Blyke quickly. "NO AUTHORITES.". He made a nervous look at Arlo who had been silent the entire meeting ever since they mentioned Rei aka X-Statics downfall. "Arlo are you fine...?" asked Elaine glancing at her King. "Completely her answered. But before they could talk a little more, Holden ran in looking nervous. "ARLO! I FINALLY FOUND YOU! HELP! Zeke's getting beaten up by John again!".

"Let him be." replied Arlo stoneily. "He deserves it." Elaine nodded and though Remi looked uneasy, the thought of poor Sera's beating got the better of her. "He deserves it! What a two-face!" blazed Blyke and Isen just laughed coldly. "He'll survive. Sucks on whoever is more stronger." he said. Suddenly, Elaine yelped. "Whats wrong?" asked Arlo immediatley. "Just thought of something. Remi when you described that lady who solded drugs and had fire claws, couldn't she have been Arlo's ummmm." Elaine stopped looking tenderly at Arlo. "Go on." he said calmly. "I'm thinking it could be Arlo's aunt. SORRY!" she cried quickly looking at Arlo's shocked face. "Well, whatever is happening we all have to get smarter, more powerful, and we need to have plans. And with Cecile on the newspapers, who knows what could happen??" said Arlo determindly. Elaine smiled at Arlo blushing as he gave a small, but REAL grin. "Welp, the Kings makes ANOTHER LIT plan!" cried Isen happily. "I am not the King. I was dethroned ages ago." Arlo replied without a smile. "We know.... John is REALLY STRANGE....He was a cripple before, Isen said so. But his behavior is so tyrantical!" muttered Remi with confusion. There is DEFINATELY something missing.". "Agreed! When I first met him, things were REALLY rocky but he seemed like your average CRIPPLE. I can't believe he was a god-tier all along!" added Elaine.

"What do you mean?" asked Arlo, his piercing gaze fixed on Elaine. "Uh, well I was quite rude to him but since Seraphina's ability loss, I have had a new understanding for cripples." faltered Elaine. But before she could continue, the cafeteria doors slammed open and in the doorway, a bloodied John stared with disgust at the 5 at the table. "GET OUT!" he snarled his hand turning into the copied and amped up version of Meili's demon-claw. Arlo shot John a glare of daggers and stood up. "COWARD. Bullying those weaker then you, that is despica-". "SHUT UP!" cried John. "Get you stupid a** right here and get out of my fricking sight!". Arlo beckoned John and Blyke while Remi stood up and said "JOHN, you have to STOP! I've seen your pressure to Cecile into writing those anti-Safehouse papers and I am telling you it's not going to work! You can't do thi-". "SHUT THE HELL UP. I'M THE STRONGEST AND I AM THE KING SO DON'T STAND IN MY WAY!!!" yelled John. Elaine whimpered and hid behind Arlo. They all left and passed Cecile which Isen shot a gaze of disgust. Cecile stared back hardly batting her eyes and quickly passed them. 

"Such a traitor!" said Elaine said later. "Uh, Arlo, you okay?". "Completely fine. Everypne go back to your classes, this meeting is ending now!" said Arlo passively. "Arlo chill dude it's not- uhhh please don't kill me!" chuckled Isen avoiding the ex-King's menacing gaze. "Arlo's right. We have to still continue our studies and get smarter." Elaine nodded. "Exactly! If we can study hard and raise our ability levels, we'll be fine! Plus...If I can master my Healing ability, I could heal of your injuries REALLY quickly!". Remi smiled and said "OKAY GREAT! I.... still have Turf Wars with Elaine and...John and.. CECILE. But I'll be okay. I'll have one friend there with me!" she grinned at Elaine. "I'll check on Seraphina after class!" added Elaine. "What about you Arlo?". "Work. That will be it." he answered. "Uh...okay." replied Elaine blushing. "Bye Isen and Blyke!" cried Remi cheerfully as the two boys left. Then she left and Arlo and Elaine were left alone...

Arlo sighed and Elaine brushed his hand. To her surprise he grasped it tightly and Elaine thought she could've blushed to death. Arlo was trying hard not to notice that he had grabbed her hand. then he said " Well, that includes you Elaine. I'll be heading to the library. "Of course!" babbled Elaine and then quickly hurried away feeling dizzy.

'ARLO ACTUALLY HELD MY HAND!' she thought happily. Then her thoughts were scattered as she hurried to class not noticing that a strange boy was staring at her.... 

Hello to the reader! This is my first fan-fiction and I noticed how there weren't many Elaine x Arlo ship fan fictions so I thought this story would be PERFECT! I also wrote this cause my middle name is Elaine and well I was slightly offended that people hated Elaine. But some of her doings were wrong to be honest. She seemed really attatched to rules and so that means she lawful but I feel like even if she wants to be good, the rules will sometimes drag her down like when she kinda snitched Sera. Arlo seems lawful evil. JUST PLAIN LAWFUL EVIILLLLL. This is my first fan fiction so I hope I can get some support! Thanks for reading!
