Prologue

Okay so I think I should introduce myself. I'm Jeny. I'm 18. I'm funny, usually hyper, I'm AH-mazing at comebacks, my best friend Caden says I always smile but I find that hard to believe, I'm random and VERY weird, I daydream alot but I always seem to konw what's going on around me, and I hae lots of friends because all around I'm just a nice girl.

Wait. I missed a VERY important detail. I'm in love with Caden, my best friend.

You're probably wondering why I haven't told him yet, right? Well, it's not because I'm afraid of rejection -okay maybe I am a little- but it's because I don't know how to say it.

I mean, how do you tell you're best friend that you love him, and have loved him since you were 4, 13 years ago, more than words.

Yeah, you heard right, I love Caden more than words.

I sighed and looked into the foggy bathroom mirror. I brushed through my long dark brown hair and looked at my reflection as I did. Dark brown eyes, so dark they could be black, dark brown hair, little sploches of freckles here and there, a button nose, and light pink on my cheeks.

I walked into my bedroom just as my phone started ringing.

I smiled, seeing it was Caden, and picked up. "Hi." I said.

"Hey." he replied.

"So what's up?" I asked.

I heard him sigh. "I've got some news."

I raised my eyebrow. "Good or bad?"

"Depends on how you look at it."

"Why don't I like the sound of that?"

"Because you probably won't take it that well."

"Just tell me." I urged.

He sighed again. "Well, you know my band, Flow Of The Undecided Legac?"

"Yeah."

"Well, the tape of the talent show a few months back was on TV and this famous band manager saw us play and, well-"

"Spit it out!" I interrupted.

"Me and my band are moving to Hollywood with the famous manager because he offered to manage us."

My jaw dropped.
