Thomas POV

"Oi Thomas, come on!"

Joan Shouted at me, he was with Talyn. There is a science festival at school. Kinda funny when you think about it though, public science festival in a private high school. That's sounds so wrong, even though this is a yearly event. One of the five festivals that the school held public, it wasn't for no reason though. The school was popular, opening the school publicly for stuff like this was for other people to go and see around the school and what's it like inside. Making a certain feeling of interest for others.

I grabbed one of the box from my desk and heads out of the classroom to head down to the school field. The box was for mine, Joan, and Talyn's science stall.

Just when I was at the stairs the screw driver fell from the box.

I tripped on it.

Oh no.

"THOMAS!" Talyn and Joan shouted

I fell down the stairs, I knew I was falling. I close my eyes just before I brace myself for the impact of the floor.

Huh?

I felt a warmth hug pulling me up.

Just when I open my eyes I see a male figure wearing a white hood with black accent and purple stripes grabbing me. It was strange though, I couldn't see his face clearly.

"Are you okay?" He asks

But strange enough, I couldn't answer him. I was shocked, my body was shaking.

'What would happen if this person didn't catch me?'

'It was a 7 meters drop.'

'I could've have a broken bone'

'I could've died'

These thoughts just go through my mind like a toy train. Over. And over. Again.

3rd Person POV

Talyn and Joan couldn't believe what has happened. A stranger catches their friend right before he could have died. They were relieved.

The man that has catch Thomas put Thomas in a sitting position and Talyn and Joan rushes over to calm Thomas down and It eventually got through Thomas. Joan and Talyn suggested that they tidy up the place because the science stuff that they brought was in the box Thomas was carrying, and the box fell.

Just when they thought all the things were scattered, they were not.

It was in the box.

The box was tidied up flawlessly by the stranger who snatched Thomas but when they wanted to thank him, he was gone, like thin air. No trace of him. Literally.

The three looked at each other and shoved it off and thought, 'he must've been in a hurry'.

Time skip: 18.00

The students has finally allowed to go home. Thomas, Talyn and Joan walks usually walks together, but because Joan and Talyn have quite longer routs home, they usually separates their way in the bus stop.

It was getting pretty dark, Thomas walk through the quiet city. There aren't much people this evening. At least, not until......

Footsteps.

Thomas seems to realized something. There are footsteps behind him. Thomas took a slightly longer routs home but they seem to follow him.

'Oh great....'

Thomas quietly counts the footsteps behind him.

'1.....2...3....yeah, three. Wait, no, it was 4'

Thomas tried to shake them off as much as he could but soon, he met his worst fear at the moment.

Dead end. Great.

Thomas POV

Don't look back. Don't look back. Don't. Look. Back.

Just as I about to reach my spell book in my bag, one person punched my back.
Another kicked my knee.
Another punched my eye.
And more hits come towards me.

At that moment I was tired but they kept hitting me. My whole body hurts. What did I do? What should I do?

I was gonna black out. I know it.

Just when I was gonna black out I see a silhouette. He was...., grabbing my attackers....?

I couldn't hear anything properly.

I couldn't see anything properly.

The next thing I know all of my attackers were at the ground.

'is he going to kill me..?' I asked myself.

The man then turn his eyes on me. He got closer and carried me. My whole body hurts, but his hands surprisingly didn't hurt at all.

Where did I feel like this before.....

'I close my eyes just before I brace myself for the impact of the floor.

Huh?

I felt a warmth hug pulling me up.'

Ah..., I remember now. The science fair.

"I can't believe him. Calling himself an angel. Tch...., he couldn't even protect a 19 year old."

He mumbled.
It was definitely him. The stranger from the science fair.

"Who...... Are you?" I asked him. Hoping he would answer.

He carried me but...., he jumped up the building? Wait. The building is 15 meters high? How did he-

Just before I finish my thought,

This person...., he smiled to me. It was warm.

"Even though right now you feel sober,
it is still not my time to answer."

It was the last thing I heard from him.

Everything turned black.
