Well, more like twenty years ago,Belle married her Beast in front of hundreds of their closest friends.
Big Cake.
So yeah,instead of a honeymoon, the beast united all of the kingdoms and himself elected King of the United States of Auradon.He rounded a group of villains and sidekicks,and also some interesting people,and booted them off to the Isle of the Lost with a barrier to keep them from getting out.
There was no magic,no wifi,and no way out.
Everyone on the Isle believed they would be there until their dying day.That wasn't the case for four teenagers,whose lives were about to change.
All because of the soon-to-be King and Queen of Auradon.
But before we get to that, this happened first.

Ben stared out the window in his room, looking at the Isle of the Lost playing with his family ring thinking about the conversation he had with his girlfriend the day before.
"Sleeve head. Ah-ha!" Lumire said as he started to fix Ben's suit.
"How is it possible that you are going to be crowned next month? You're just a baby" King Adam said as Belle and he enters the room, breaking Ben's train of thought.
"He's turning sixteen, dear," Belle told Adam.
"Hey, pops," Ben said as he looked at his father.
"16? That's far too young to be crowned king."Adam said."I didn't make a good decision until I was at least 42."
"Uh, you decided to marry me at twenty-eight," Belle told him.
"It was either you or teapot."Adam said winking at his son before looking at his wife."Kidding."
"Mom, Dad," Ben said as he attempted to walk forward but was stopped by Lumiere, who exclaimed "Ah!"
"I've chosen my first proclamation," Ben said, getting their attention. "I've decided that the children of the Isle of the Lost be given a chance to live here in Auradon. Every time I look out to the island, I feel like they've been abandoned."
"The children of our sworn enemies, living among us?"Adam asked with an angered expression on his face.
"Riley and I started with a few at first, only the ones who need our help the most. I've already chosen them." Ben explains.
"Have you?" Adam asked.
"I gave you a second chance," Belle told Adam, making him sigh. "Who are their parents?"
"Cruella De Vil....Jafar....Evil Queen....and Maleficent."Ben said, causing his parents to gasp and Lumiere to yelp.
"Maleficent?! She is the worst villain in the land!" Adam yelled in anger.
"Dad, just hear me out!" Ben pleaded.
"I won't hear of it," Adam yelled. "They are guilty of unspeakable crimes."
"Dad, their children are innocent," Ben said. "Don't you think they deserve a shot a normal life? Dad?"
King Adam looked at Belle and sighed.
"I suppose their children are innocent," Adam said, giving in.
"Well, well done." Belle smiled, while fixing Ben's coat. "Shall we?" She asked Adam before they both left the room.
"Are they gone?" Riley asked, popping her head out from the secret passageway in the bookshelf.
"Yeah, they are gone, flower," Ben answered looking over at his girlfriend with a smile on his face.
"Well? What did they say?"
"They said yes," Ben responded, who was immediately brought into a tight embrace.
"Told you it would work," Riley said, looking up at her boyfriend. "I love you."
"I love you too," Ben told the blonde, before leaning his head against hers and kissing her.
"Now we wait?" Riley asked, pulling away.
"Now we wait," Ben confirmed, as they both turned to look at the Isle.
