I woke up this morning in a frenzy, its my first day working at the bau. Honestly I worked so hard for this opportunity that I have barely had time to think about if I am ready for this job. It was one of those lifelong dreams that I constantly strived for, so the fact that the day has finally come is insane. Instead of dwelling too much on it, I quickly throw on some semi-professional clothes and made myself look somewhat awake. No one really told me the dress code, if there even WAS a dress code, so I just guessed and tried to look like I knew what I was doing.

I hurried my way to the kitchen in my small apartment, I shared this place with my best friend Liam. We decided on a whim post university to move to Washington to both pursue our dreams; him as a journalist and me as a profiler. I poured coffee in my travel mug, adding my three teaspoons of sugar with it of course, and made my way out the door.

"Liam! I'm off, wish me luck!" I said, half my body out the door by now. Liam was most likely still asleep so I hoped that my screaming got him up for work. I got into my car and started to finally make my way to work.

-'fbi headquarters @ quantico -'

I pulled into the parking lot, locking up my car before making my way towards the building. With each step I took, the nerves started to bubble up inside me. This was it, this was the moment I worked my whole life for. I quietly thought to myself "this is for you dad", as opened the glass doors into the headquarters. I just know he would be proud of me, this was what he dreamed for me. I tried my best to hold back some tears as I entered the elevator. I looked down at the notebook in my hand, I was meeting someone by the name of aaron hotchner right in front of the bau offices. I had heard stories about him and all the work he had done with the bureau, it was an honour just to be introduced to him. It was hard to think that he is a real person, let alone that he would be giving me my tour and introduction.

The elevator doors opened and I was greeted by a man standing in the main entrance. He was tall and had dark hair, he looked like he never smiled. I could just feel myself becoming intimidated just by looking at him. Just when I thought he might be mad at me or something, he smiled slightly and extended his hand to me.

"Hi Eleanor is it?" he said, smiling still.

I nodded in response, shaking his hand, he continued;

"Aaron Hotchner, unit chief. Let me introduce you to the rest of the team"

He lead me through the glass doors and I was immediately in the bullpen. There were people all over the place; organizing case files, making coffee, sitting down and doing paperwork..it was chaos and I loved it. This was what I lived for. I followed him to an empty desk, the only thing on it was a small pile of paperwork that I assumed was for me.

"Here's your desk, you actually started on a fairly busy day for us. This is kind of our monthly clean out, if you will. We just do paperwork, organize and get caught up on anything we need to." He said, gesturing towards people working around us. My attention was shifted though, to the man with brown hair that was at the desk across from me. He was so enthralled with his work, it was like he didn't even notice that we were right next to him. I tuned out aaron almost completely, I couldn't stop staring at the guy across from me. Aaron quickly pulled me out of my thoughts;

"Eleanor? Are you okay?" He asked, concern laced in his voice.

"Yes sir I'm fine, just taking it all in you know?" I responded, setting my things at my desk.

"Oh please just call me hotch" He said, smiling at me again.

I nodded in response as he led me to a smaller group in the corner of the bullpen.
