The cab ride to the bar was filled with awkward silence, but I guess that was normal nowadays..so I checked my phone to kill time. I was greeted by many drunk texts from Penelope, who must have been there for an hour already.

I was nearly dying of laughter looking at the texts from Penelope, she truly was the best. It was weird that Spencer was asking about me though..right? I don't know what to think to be honest, I swear he was gotten..bolder around me. Like his confidence went up a thousand and ten percent, I wasn't complaining though.

The driver pulled up to the curb, letting me out in front of the bar. I paid him a twenty and thanked him for the ride. As soon as I walked in the music hit me, it was blaring in my ears, I almost didn't notice a very drunk Penelope running towards me.

"El!! You came!!" She said, literally attacking me with a hug, "Meanie Derek took away my phone, can you believe it?!"

"No, how rude of him" I said, giving Derek a look meaning thank god you did as I walked towards the group. Everyone greeted me with happy and tipsy smiles, except Spencer. He just nodded in my direction, like he was just acknowledging my existence, what the fuck? Wasn't he just asking about me? I expected at least a 'hello', guess thats too much.

I nodded back at Spencer before grabbing Emily to head to the bar. I ordered a gin and tonic, waiting and staring at Spencer from the corner of my eye. He was being all chatty with the rest of the group, did I just ruin his mood or something? Emily noticed my staring and clearly was trying to snap me out of it.

"Girl, I have to say, you look absolutely amazing tonight." She said, looking at me like she meant it. I could tell that she knew something was off, so I smiled and thanked her quietly. Taking my drink from the bar and sipping it, I tried my best not to look at him. Its like I could feel him staring at me but whenever I looked back, he moved his head away. I shook my head and tried to get him out of my head as we walked back to the group, I was gonna show him tonight that I don't need him.

The night went on in a blur; the more I drank, the more I thought of Spencer. My mind couldn't shut him out, he was like a drug I was hooked on. We shared stolen and quick glances all night, barely saying two words to each other. I could feel the tension grow thicker between us every breath I took, If I didn't end up kissing him at the end of the night I will be shocked. I know I said I wanted to wait, but this back and forth was killing me. I decided to break the Spencer trance I was in by hitting the dance floor, getting a few cheers from the group.

The dance floor was packed with sweaty and drunk bodies bumping into each other, I found my way to the middle in a hurry. The beat was starting to flow through me, and like I was following its every command, I began to move my body with it. Swaying my hips from side to side, feeling every beat and lyric consume me, I was starting to feel truly alive.

I was dancing with everyone and by myself, I was changing my pace all the time but I didn't care, this was fucking fun! I looked up to see Spencer staring at me from across the room, was he checking me out?

I stared back at him, moving a bit more with my hips, might as well give him a show. He smirked at me, clearly knowing my intentions. I moved over to where he was sitting, not breaking eye contact. I stood in front of him, holding out my hand.

"Dance with me." I said, waiting for him to take my hand.

"L-Lea, no I don't do..that" He stammered, clearly embarrassed that I was asking.

I leaned in closer, "I didn't ask, now dance with me" I said, the smirk not leaving my lips as he stared back at me with shock. I was feeling bold tonight. He nodded, grabbing my hand and allowing me to drag him to the dance floor.

I could tell Spencer was uncomfortable dancing around all these people, his movements awkward and off-beat. I could almost laugh, he was so cute. He noticed me looking at him, his cheeks turning red and laughing lightly. I decided to make the first move, inching closer to him and placing my arms around his neck. I was taking the lead, moving us from side to side in time with the music. We were so close, I could feel his breath against my neck as we moved closer together. Soon enough, we were moving not as two people but as one. I felt more at peace in this moment than I had all night, Spencer was just too hard to resist. I pulled back a bit, looking at Spencer, really looking at him. Taking in every quirk and feature, he was so beautiful it hurt me.

We never broke eye contact, in that moment all I could think about was grabbing him and kissing him. He must have been reading my mind, I caught him staring at my lips. I nodded at him, signalling we should go outside. He nodded back and led me out the main doors.

We walked in silence until we reached the side of the bar, still feeling the music pounding from outside. The tension came back all at once while we were outside, it was at this point that we realized there was nothing holding us back from eachother. I leaned against the brick wall, facing Spencer as he stood in front of me, his hands in his pockets like he didn't know what to do. Before I could speak, he placed his hands behind me on the wall. He was almost leaning fully against me now, my breath catching in my throat. I was frozen, unable to speak.

"Are you sure I can't kiss you?" He asked, I gasped slightly at his question, not expecting it. He continued, "Because Eleanor..I don't know if I can stay away from you much longer." I could tell he was trying so hard not to lean into me, his eyes darting between mine and my lips.

At that point, the only thing I could say was, "Please Spencer, kiss me"

With that he leaned in completely, closing the gap between us. It was like he was the missing puzzle piece that I needed all along, we fit so well together. We knew what to do, everything we did seemed to make sense. Quickly he turned the kiss from sweet into passionate, biting my lower lip, causing me to groan as he pulled away.

"God..you are amazing." He said, his thumb running across my lips, as if he was trying to remember every part of me.

"Who knew Spencer Reid was such a good kisser, I must alert the presses" I said, joking to distract myself from his intense gaze. He laughed in response, which made me smile. I loved when he laughed, it was the most beautiful sound in the world.

He leaned in again, continuing where we left off. I could stay like this for eternity; his body against mine, his hand lightly pressed around my neck, kissing like this was the last time. I pulled back this time, causing him to pout and groan at the loss of contact.

"Spence..lets get out of here." I said, hoping he got the message. "Show me your apartment, Dr.Reid."
