Chapter 4 - Hanging Out

It was finally the weekend and the moment of truth to hang out with Rina. But your mind instantly went over that you asked her out on a date. So you kept thinking in your mind that it wasn't a date but just hanging out with eachother.

You finally arrived in front of Rina's home and your mind was clear. You knocked on the door and was opened by Rina. The two of you took a moment of silent as you looked at eachother's eyes.

You blinked, finally coming back to reality. "U-uh... Shall we get going?" You asked her.

As you thought Rina was also in her fantasy as she finally come back in reality. "Yeah." She nodded before grabbing her Rina-chan Board.

The two of you took off and headed with the train towards Akihabara. Upon arriving there the two of you were just walking around in silent, until Rina pulled on your jacket that you were wearing. You looked at her confused and noticed that she was pointing at an arcade.

"Can we go there?" Rina asked you.

"Why does it looks like that I'm a parent of a child who really wants to go to an arcade?" You asked yourself in thought as you sweatdropped.

"Sure." You answered.

The two of you headed towards the arcade that Rina was pointing at and from entering inside the place looks really crowded. Many people were playing different sort of arcade games, while others were watching them play to see how awesome they are.

"Where do you wanna go first, Tennoji-san?" You asked her.

"How about that one?" Rina pointed at an arcade game called DDR. You've watched many people playing DDR in a video, but never tried it out yourself.

"Alright then. I'll go play first." You said as the two of you approached the DDR machine. You stepped on the pad as you insert the coin into the machine to start playing. You chose a really difficult one and when it starts playing you were instantly pressing on the pads as you can.

You only looked at the screen of the DDR machine as your feet were dancing freely on the pads. Everyone notice you playing on the most difficult song and began watching you. As the song finally ended with you getting an All Perfects everyone starts cheering and clapping.

"Awesome!"

"Wow you really did beat the most difficult song?"

"Even I can't do that."

"You were amazing!"

"Thank you!" You thanked all the spectators who were watching you play, but then remembered you were hanging out with Rina. "Oh... right."

"Tennoji-san. How about we play another arcade game?" You suggest her. Rina nodded and the two of you headed to the next arcade game.

While walking around the arcade hall looking for something the two of you can play you came across a crane game that has all different sort of plushies in it.

"Maybe I should get her one of these." You thought in mind as you looked back at Rina.

"Hey Tennoji-san, how about I get you one of these plushies in that crane game?" You suggest as you pointed at the crane game next to you. Rina approached the crane game and took a look at it what's inside.

"I want this one." Rina pointed at one plushies that is hard to get since it was almost digged in with other plushies above it.

"Ah-... I see." You sweatdropped but did it anyway for Rina's sake. So you insert a coin inside the crane machine and tried to let the crane get the plushie that Rina wanted. But everything turned out the opposite way from what you wanted. Instead of getting that one plushie for Rina was easy for you to get, you got all the plushies above it.

"How..." You asked yourself silently as you were looking down in defeat.

"I got it!" Rina said as the crane got the plushie that she really wanted.

"Did she wanted me to spend all my coins to get the plushies above it or..." You sweatdropped glancing towards Rina grabbing the plushie out of the crane machine.

"Well, we still manage to get other plushies because of my luck." You told Rina as you carry out the other plushies while Rina was carrying her favorite plushie. She nodded in reply.

"Thank you, (L/N)-san! Rina-chan Board... "Happy!"." Rina said showing her happy Rina-chan Board expression.

You chuckled. "But I did literally nothing other then getting the other plushies."

As time passes by it was beginning to get dawn. The two of you decided to get some ice cream after the fun at the arcade. The two of you were sitting on a bench at the park with ice cream in your hands.

"Hahaha.... Tennoji-san, you know that you can't eat that ice cream with your Rina-chan Board in front of your face, right?" You laughed.

"That's right... Rina-chan Board... "Pout!"." Her Rina-chan Board expression turned into a pouty one. On which you laughed in reply.

You looked up in the sky to see the beautiful orange sky getting darker everytime the sun moves an inch closer out of your sight. You thought that today was really a great day because you hung out with Rina. The two of you bonded closer as ever.

"Today was very fun, Tennoji-san." You said smiling.

"You can just call me by Rina, since we're like friends." Rina told.

"Ah. Then you can call me (Y/N) if you want." You told her.

Rina was unsure about but tried to say your first name. "(Y... (Y/N)... (Y/N)-chan!" She finally said it.

"God that's just cute." You blushed.

"But saying that we're just friends just made my heart break." You thought in mind as you grip onto your chest.

"Are you alright, (Y/N)-chan?" Rina asked as she held on your hand that was gripping on your chest.

"Uh... I-I'm alright!" You said as you loossen your hand off your chest. "Just got a little brainfreeze while eating my ice cream, hahaha..." You lied as you laughed.

The two of you seperated their ways to get home. While walking you recalled Rina saying taht the two of you were just friends. Nothing more, nothing less.

"I just thought this became a date. But that's not it at all." You told yourself. "I was just hanging out with Rina-chan like how normal friends do."

"Is that how she really sees me?"

"Just a friend and nothing more?"
