They both turned around to face the brown haired boy a little bit taller than Flora. He had green eyes which stood out to compliment his very beautiful face too good for a human. He wore a denim Blue Jeans and a white t shirt. He held a flash light on his left palm and a pen knife which he used to threaten them on his right.

"I asked you a question, answer me I won't be afraid to use my pen knife ". The strange boy said.

"Well we are tired and we need to rest " Tara said gasping for air as a result of the shock.

He put the pen knife back and into his pocket. "Well I can't help you if I don't know who you are and what are you even doing out here, all alone by this time of the night?"

Flora composed herself by stroking her pony tail. "This place isn't that different from home. I mean the trees, flowers and everything looks the same. But I don't think I've seen these flowers grow in Estaldun and I thought we left at day break, it seems as if it's night time. I don't trust this stranger. I has a weapon and I don't think following him is a good idea. " She whispered to Tara.

Tara leaned closer to respond. "Come on, he is just scared. What will you do if you saw some one come out of a rock if you were human".

"What ever, just be... "

"Could you stop the whispers. If you don't want to talk to me, then I'll just help you but when we get to my hide out, I need to know everything thing. " He said lifting his hands up in the air.

Flora stepped forward with her hands crossed against her chest. "We'll find our way stranger and we don't need your help and we also don't trust you ".

"Flora, come on". Tara murmured.

"I wouldn't hurt you besides she seems like she really needs my help and the name's Nathan not stranger but I'll take that as a nickname". Nathan leaned forward and wriggled his eye brows.

"Fine". Flora scoffed.

Tara and Flora walked behind him while he led the way to his hideout. Flora kept tripping over pebbles and stones. Tara and Nathan kept laughing. "Well you could stop laughing now it's not that funny. " Flora yelled as she stood up from her last fall and dusted her body.

Tara stopped herself from laughing. "She isn't like this at all, I wonder what's up with her ". She started laughing all again.

Nathan nudged Flora on the elbow. "I would help you stand up but it so funny how you keep falling every time.

Flora grinned. "Hey we are not friends or anything close to it so don't touch me.

Nathan held his hands up in the air as defence. Tara jogged to catch up with them.

"Flora don't be so mean, he looks so nice. If he wanted to kill us he would have done that a long time ago with his knife. Besides he is so cute, my dream guy. "Tara whispered while twirling.

Flora stopped and placed her right hand of her waist. "I see you have developed a liking for this human so soon. I thought you hated them. "

"Yeah so, who wouldn't " Tara skipped her way to stand beside him.

I grinned at Nathan and he had a smirk on his face.

Few minutes later they arrived at the hide out.

"Welcome to my hide out. Actually it's a cabin but I like calling it my hide out. " Nathan gestured with his arms to usher them in.

Flora and Tara looked at the small rectangular room. It had a small couch, a television, a small window, a mini refrigerator. There was a corridor to the left of the couch which led to two bedrooms on the right and a bathroom in the left. The first room which was obviously his had a window at the edge of the single bed and a fool's ball table at the extreme end. There was also a small TV which was not in use because it was packed in a dusty corner. He had dirty clothes, underwear lying on the floor on the bed and a white shirt on the television. They were half eaten bags of chips, rotten food lying on a corner of the room. Flora's room had a double bed and some old cardboard boxes lying around. It also had a polished wooden wardrobe with some hangers in it.

"We appreciate your help, we could manage " Tara muttered nicely and held up a half eaten bag of chips and sighed in disgust.

"Well, I see you keep this place so tidy and neat". Flora said sarcastically and grinned at him.

Nathan sat on the couch with his arms spread and smiled. " Ha ha honey, stop being so sarcastic".

"Clumsy". He added.

Flora stepped towards him and pointed her index finger to his face. "Hey, don't you dare.... "

Tara came back in between the two just in time. "Don't get snappy both of you. Come on let's get changed. " She did to Flora as she dragged her to find the bathroom.

Nathan ran to the front of the girls with his arms crossed against his chest. "Hey girls, you still haven't told me your names and what you were doing out there in the woods, all alone, so late at night".

"Well, we are fairies from Estaldun so we came to the the human world to see if humans are wicked and heartless like everyone says but Flora wanted to I never wanted to come here. We snuck out without anyone's permission and we are going to be so dead when we come back." Tara confessed breathing heavily from the speed at which she confessed ignoring the hush signs from flora.

"And before I forget I'm Tara and over there is Flora". She said gesturing to a very, very pissed Flora.

Flora slapped her on her arm. "You can't tell him that, you just blew our cover". She whispered.

"Sorry Flora, but I can't lie and you know it. If I lie my magic goes crazy for god knows how long depending on the gravity of the lie. The last time that happened I was locked up in my room for about a week unless you want all humans to know that fairies exist which we both don't want don't make me lie." Tara yelled while whispering.

Nathan turned towards the bed and collapsed there. "So you guys are fairies how funny. Do you take me for a fool? You could have just told me the truth. You ran away from home because you did something wrong or maybe you just felt like having some time away from home".

"Fine, it's true fairies exist and you must promise never to let another ear hear it or that we are fairies". Flora admitted and sat on the couch opposite the bed and took a quick glance at Tara who smiled at her and nodded in agreement.

"You guys are crazy, I regret ever bringing you here". Nathan scolded with a frown.

"Okay, if you don't believe us we'll prove it". Tara said. She lifted herself up in the air and flew around the room, she looked at Flora who rolled her eyes and joined her after moments of hesitation. Tara also moved some objects from their places without touching them.

Nathan was in shock. "How did you move.. This is unbelievable". He stood up and walked around the room with his hands continuously cleaning his eyes and finally rested his back on the wooden door with a creak sound.

"Come on, brave man. You are not dreaming stranger. Well I can't move objects with my mind now but I'm practising. Tara has had a lot if time to practice considering the fact that she's four years older than me". Flora said sarcastically.

Tara crossed her hands under her breasts. "Oh please, at your age I've already perfected the art and you are the princess meaning you have more abilities thank do but all you do is good around".

Flora made an ugly face at her. "But I'm still better at spell than you. Please show us where we could change. I don't want this to turn into a fight".

Nathan pointed to a poorly lit corner behind the couch. "Go there, there.. there's a door that's the.. ". He stuttered still in shock.

Tara interrupted him by dragging Flora to a corner. "Flora you're forgetting that we are at the world of humans, basically everything is made of iron. I can already feels it's strong, weakening effect on me. I've started to get dizzy". She whispered into her ear.

"Don't worry, I already thought about that we'll manage for now. Later we'll make some gloves that will protect us a bit. I hope. " She said while shrugging her shoulders.

They glanced at Nathan who was still in deep thought about what he learnt. "Okay, I hope so to". Tara responded.
