Eileen hurried through the hallway into her daughter's room as her normal day routine. "Flora,  Flora dear, wake up. It's already morning and you have slept past your wake up time".

She opened the door wooden door with a creak sound because of the age of the door. She walked towards the blankets stuffed with pillows to pull it over.

"What, why isn't she in bed? Maybe she is planning to play one of her stupid pranks on me". Eileen thought.
"Flora this isn't funny. Come out now because if I find you, you are going to get into big trouble for trying to prank me". Eileen said, this time a little louder. She checked the the bathroom and the little balcony attached to her room as Flora enjoyed the natural scenery nature brings more than an average fairy.

As she proceeded to rummage through her wardrobe, she noticed her loafers and her black adventure pack was gone along with some of the dresses she brought from the laundry yesterday.

Eileen panicked suspecting a kidnap but while will her kidnappers pack some of her stuff. She shrugged off the thought. "Where could she have gone to? Andrew!  Andrew! ". Eileen yelled out.

Andrew yelled from the hallway. "Yes, yes. Stop yelling I could hear you from the left wing of the castle".

"It's Flora I can't find her anywhere ".

Andrew came in to find a very worried Eileen brooding at the end of the window. "What do you mean you can't find her".

"She is not around the castle and no one knows where she must have gone to. She normally tells me where she goes before leaving". Eileen exclaimed.

Andrew patted her shoulders and brought her into a hug. "Don't worry she will be back. You know how Flora loves exploring and going on adventures. She must have gone on one this morning. I promise that she will be back".

"Good morning Nathan". Tara  greeted
as she saw him flutter his eyelids.

"Aarrgh". He fell off his bed to roll on the floor.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you ". Tara apologised while helping him to stand up.

"It's okay. How are you up so early? I usually wake up before my friends and everyone in the hostel when I was in boarding school". He asked.

Tara frowned. "That's not a good morning. We fairies don't need a lot of sleep like humans. I like to sleep unlike Flora, we only take naps to recharge our bodies. So back at home I usually wake up before this time."

Nathan gasped remembering the occurrence if last night. "Oh I completely forgot that fairies are real. I mean wow, like wow. I never imagined not in my wildest dreams that I will ever encounter a fairy". Nathan stared at her hands and noticed the thick pink wooden gloves on it. "What's with the gloves. It's the middle of summer there's no need for the gloves".

"Well you never know what fate has in store for us. The gloves are for protection. Fairies can be harmed by one thing which is iron. It makes us weak and acts like a slow poison to is. Humans really use iron so in order not to get into any ugly situation Flora decided to make us this. Here let me show you an example". Tara added as she removed her right glove and pressed her thumb against the iron handle of the door. She winced in pain as the iron gave her a three degree burn on her thumb.

"Why did you do that? Nathan asked snatching her hand and examining the burn. "Now I have to get the first aid kit". He said getting up to get the kit from the kitchen across the room.

"No don't worry it'll heal in a couple of hours. It would have healed quicker if wasn't weak from the iron". Tara said tugging on his left arm which wasn't holding her hand.
