Chapter=11

Jonah (POV)

I arrived home at my usual time but still, today was different because my parents were waiting for me and I felt happy about that. I became happier when my mom prepared waffles for me. She even cooked dinner for me which is wings chicken I think if Ariana would be here she would eat whole chicken wings. Thinking of her she is a good person and very talented except one thing that is studying but I think she can do even good when she knows the value of knowledge but she has some basics knowledge but for the future, she has to work hard for it but when I saw her painting it was really beautiful. I was broken out of my thought when I heard mom calling me for dinner. I walked downstairs and sat on the dining chair. Mom served me chicken wings when she started speaking.

"How your school is going?" she asked.

"It's good" I replied.

"Did you make new friends?" Dad asked.

"Yes, I made lots of friends" I replied honestly.

"Are they coming tomorrow?" Mom asked.

"Yes, they are coming at dinner hour" I replied. I didn't said them at what time so I will send a message after having dinner. After a few minutes, my phone rang and it was from 'Mr. Gonzales' why he is calling me? I asked myself and after the second ring, I answered his call.

"Have you seen Ariana? She didn't arrive yet and her phone is also switched off" he asked in a worried voice and I got shocked.

"What? She didn't arrive yet" I asked to confirm.

"Yes"

"Don't worry Mr. Gonzales, I am going to search for her" I assured him.

"Mom, Dad I will come soon don't worry about me I will be here ASAP," I said to them and walked outside with an umbrella and car key. How can she go somewhere in this heavy rain?

Today is Friday and last time she told me that she hangs out with her friends all weekend so I decided to call Rain and Lisa. First I made a call to Rain because they are childhood friends and they are very close to each other.

"Have you seen Ariana after school?" I asked him.

"No, after school I directly came to my house because my grandma had a checkup in the hospital so we didn't have any plan to meet and why are you asking? is there any problem?" he asked but as he said he is busy with her grandmother for a check-up so I didn't want to make him worry and I replied "no" to him and before he can have another chance to ask questions I hanged up because I didn't have time to talk him and I was also driving so I don't want to talk too long and then I called for Lisa and she said she is with her relatives so I didn't bother to tell her as well because she is far away so I didn't tell her that Ariana didn't arrive till now. Mr. Gonzales said that her phone is switch off but still I wanted to make a call but as he said it was switched off. After thinking today morning she said that Scarlett and she became friends maybe she would be with her. I decided to make a call. Thank god I took her phone number.

"Have you seen Ariana after school?" I went to a straight point.

"Yes, I treated her with ice-cream and after having ice-cream I told her that I will give her a ride but she didn't agree. I tried convinced her a lot but she didn't listen, is there any problem?"

"She didn't arrive until now at her house. His dad called me to search for her so I called you because Rain and Lisa both are busy so I called you" I explained to her.

"WH...what? I told her that it's raining and I will give her a ride but she didn't listen" She said while panicking.

"Don't panic just tell me the name of the ice-cream parlor" I asked.
