After 12 years

I have to keep my work for tomorrow. Jonah would be coming home soon. I don’t know how he maintains everything. He has loads of work but still, he gives time to our family.

“Mommy!”

“Coming!” I shouted so that he could hear. I rushed to him to see what happened to him and when he came to my view he was fighting with her friend Alina.

“Bad boy baby, you should share your toys with everyone,” I said and he pouted. His name is Xander and he is four years. He got his friend from school and she very cute. I made my way to the kitchen and started to prepare Italian pasta with meatballs and I decided to make fried rice, noodles, and chicken soup. since our parents, Rain and Lisa will visit us. It’s been a long time to meet them since Rain became a famous singer and Lisa is ved. They too have a kid whose name is Blake and he is too four years but he is five months elder than Xander. I became a famous Cartoonist and Jonah is working hard in business. He is doing great but he has still to do more. As I thought years back that Joseph and Corbyn would become famous journals and it was right. Ian and Ace are playing in a National basketball match. I don’t know about Salina and Melissa it’s been so many years that we haven’t seen each other.

After spending three hours I kept everything ready for dinner. As soon as I kept all the dishes on the dining table, the doorbell rang. I think everyone arrived. I opened the door and I hugged everyone. We are living in the same house which Jonah’s parents gifted him and they too came here. I made them all sit in the couch. We were all talking to each other. When Alina’s mom came and took her. I kissed her on the cheeks and bid goodbyes to each other. Did I tell Alina live beside our house? Maybe not. So she lives beside our house. Xander sat on my laps half sleeping. He looks cuter when he is sleeping. He is a bit naughty but at the same time, he is good at studies. After a few minutes, Jonah came into view. He came towards me and he kissed me.

“You look beautiful as always he said caressing my cheeks” I blushed at his words. After that, he went into his room to freshen up.

“Ariana, how is your work?” My dad ask in his Stern voice.

“It's good, Dad,” I replied and he smiled. I made him stop work when I started to make cartoons and for the first time itself, the cartoons became famous. Jonah came after having freshened himself. After gossiping so many things we got up to eat dinner. Jonah took Xander in his arms and silently he kept Xander on his bed even Rain kept his son beside Xander and they look really cute. I fed them early because I knew they sleep soon.
We all sat at the dining table and started to eat.

“Ariana cooking skills are really good.” Alisa (Jonah mom) said and I blushed.

“Thanks, Mom,” I said and huff. She doesn’t like anyone to say thanks when it about complements.

“We are shifting in new york after few months,” Jonah said and my eyes widened. “Why?” I asked.

“If you don’t want to move there it’s ok,” he said and I chuckle.

“No, it’s ok but what about this house?” I asked and he grinned.

“We can visit here too when we get time,” I said and he nodded.

“I don’t know how Jonah can maintain everything. He cares about family and business at the same time while us. We were always busy in our work and didn’t bother about our son” Alisa said.

“It is not like that Dad. I always felt alone at the house but I know it’s very difficult to hold a business and I know you always like me so I don’t have any complaint with you.” Jonah said making their parents smile.

“Ariana don’t eat too much. You are eating continuously then you will suffer from diarrhea” Dad said teasing me. They still tease me.

“Dad! Now you are cursing me” I said and everyone laughed.
After having dinner everyone went to sleep. They will stay this night. I am in the back of the house seeing the sky and it looks beautiful as always. After a few minutes, Jonah came and sat beside me.

“I love you,” he said while kissing me making me blush.

“I love you too,” I said making him smile.
