Chapter=23

Jonah (P.O.V)

Yesterday during the basketball match Ariana’s mood was better. I think Ariana and Rain both were tired that’s why they were not in a good mood. Yesterday I don’t know why she asked me about my interest in Basketball, actually, I am not interested in it. The sentence I slowly said that “I am interested you” thank God she didn’t hear. Still, I have to ask Rain about Melissa. Today is Saturday so I am lying on my bed staring at the ceiling. Its afternoon and I didn’t get up from my bed except for eating breakfast and lunch. I think I should get up now and I am not at all feeling tiredness. I also want to see Ariana. I got up from the bed and went to change my outfit. I wore black jeans with a white shirt on it. I took my phone and wallet before I left my house after locking the door. I rang the bell of her house and Mr. Gonzales opened the door. He invited me in when I entered I saw an old lady sitting beside Ariana. I greeted the old lady by saying good afternoon. Then Ariana introduced me to her saying she is her grandmother.

“Sit here Jonah,” she said but how did she know my name? I decided to ask directly.

“How do you know my name?” I asked her.

“Ariana told me about you” she answered but still I didn’t get it because she just said about me. I don’t know how she recognizes me as Jonah.

“I showed my every friend picture to her” Ariana replied and continued again. “She met Rain but not Lisa, Ace, and You. We were also getting bored so I decided to show her some pictures of you guys” she said.

“You guys talk till then I will go to my job.” Mr. Gonzales said and left. 

“Can I call you Grandma?” I asked because I don’t know how to address her.

“Sure kid” she replied she is such a sweet old lady.

“Can we three go for a walk?” Ariana asked, Grandma and I nodded. We started to walk towards the park. When we reached there I met Corby and Joseph with Ken and this time I think he is with his friend Stella.

“Hey! Ken, how are you?” I asked him. I am seeing him for a long time. When he saw me a big smile plastered on his face.

“Hi, Mr. Wright” He waved his hand towards us and he is so adorable.

Ariana too waved her hand towards him. He came towards us running and hugged both of us at the same time. I think Ariana felt happy after seeing him.

“Hi, Ms. Gonzales,” he told Ariana.

“Did Stella and you became best friends again?” Ariana asked and he nodded.

“Thank you, Mr. Wright and Ms. Gonzales, because of you two I realized about my mistake,” he says and I think he has manners when he talks with his elders.

“Ken, you can call me Ariana and him as Jonah” Ariana announced and I nodded.

“Hey, Jonah and Ariana you both are ignoring us” Joseph complained about a pointing look.

“We are not” Ariana and I said in unison.

“Hi, Stella” Ariana greeted and Stella did the same.

“This kid is trouble makers” Corbyn complained. “No, they are not instead they are adorable” this time grandma spoke.

Ariana (P.O.V)

These kids are adorable. I love kids. Grandma sat on a bench that was placed in the park. While Ken, Stella, and I are sliding on the slide. Jonah, Corbyn, and Joseph are just watching their surroundings getting bored. After sliding I became tired but these two kids are very energetic they don’t get tired soon. It’s already evening the sky is getting dark and I think now this kid should go to their respective houses.
