The following day, Nikki went back to school. She had almost missed a full week due to her injuries from the battle and that horrendous encounter with the wolf a couple days ago. After she woke, Nikki was so out of it, she couldn't tell left from right so she thought it would be smart to stay home rather than be a confused mess and wander around like a scared animal the whole day.

She would have gone back the next day, had she not been in intense pain. She thought the bite may have gotten infected but when she went to look at it in the mirror, the bite seemed to have scarred up. She stayed in bed the rest of the day, suffering hot flashes, itchiness, and burning all pulsing from her bite mark, traveling through her entire being.

It was strange. During these days off, her father hadn't been around. Or if he had been there, maybe he'd just be in his room, passed out from his alcohol binge. He hadn't made a single effort to come in any sort of contact with her and this relieved yet worried her at the same time. Was he planning something? Maybe he's trying to get rid of her once and for all.

As she walked through the school entrance, she was bombarded by her friends. They were all asking about her, where she went, if she was okay, and if she got lucky that night. But one person stood out.

"You left me," she stated when everyone quieted down to let Nikki answer the questions fired at her. "You lied, drugged, and left me in my own house just so you could go and dance at those stupid Fields!" Chrissy shrieked.

Angry didn't do justice to describe Chrissy. She had planned out a sleepover just to apease Nikki so she could show her that she could live with her lifestyle but all of her efforts went out the window when she woke up in a bowl of sticky candy and she was left in her room, alone. Nikki had left with Chandler and chose the gang over Chrissy that night.

"Chrissy, I'm--"

"Dont, just don't even bother anymore, Nikki. It's obvious where your loyalties lie. Just know that I put together that whole party to try and get to know your friend only to have you both throw it back in my face." Chrissy cut her off.

"It wasn't like that it--"

"I get it. It's fine. Just please don't talk to me again." She cut her off once more and walked off, the rest of Nikki's crew either glaring or staring at her in complete shock as Chrissy stalked off.

"Great friend you got there, Nikki." Amber said, a sardonic tone lacing through her words.

Nikki wanted to scream. She wanted to blame her crew for leaving her, Amber, and Chandler to fend for themselves against Trey and his--

Trey.

Nikki looked around and couldn't spot him in the crowd of friends that surrounded her. Where was he? She felt she deserved some sort of explanation from him as to why he failed to tell aher about his own activitied and why he wasn't there to help her out of her predicament.

But Leo was there.

He must be back at school, teaching at this mediocre school when he could be so much more than a high school Spanish teacher. She needed to find him, to get some sort of comfort she thought she needed from him. These past few days turned her into a needy little; one that needed Leo.

She craved to be around him, for him to hold her and never let go, for him to tell her everything would be alright. She would see him soon enough, though. After all, he was her first period teacher.

I'm back! Break is officially over and there are about 20 more Sundays until Summer vacation! Since a few people have poked and prodded for this story to be update, I thought to bring this big boy out when I went on lunch break at school!

Though it's a little short, it's what I could do in a 45-minute break but expect more later!
