Peter turned into an alley a few blocks from his school and changed before stopping at a small place and getting some food. Once he grabbed the to-go bag and paid for it he booked it to the school and checked in before finding MJ and Ned.

"Guess who got here early."

"Loser."

"Hey, I got your homework but you're gonna have to be here for a while cause she said she'd kick you out of the class if you weren't dead or dying."

"Honestly? Better than her class," Peter started. "I got us food if you want it. You know the place that has the weird guy that none of us likes cause he just stares at you as you walk by then one day he nodded at us and I still don't know why cause we didn't do anything differ but maybe he ap-"

"What happened?" MJ asked. "You don't talk like that or get us food unless something happened."

His mood instantly died and Ned looked over to MJ before focusing his attention. 

"You don't have to say anything, you know. We can talk later or not at all and watch Star Wars."

"Thanks Ned, but," Peter took a shuddered breath before continuing, "later I think. I just- I don't know. I want to talk to May but she's pulling an extra shift tonight."

MJ nodded, "That's understandable just remember that we're here for you."

He flashed a small smile her way before passing out the food and starting to eat. After a few minutes of silence he straightened up. 

"Shit."

"What happened? Are you okay? You didn't get hurt and not tell us? Peter talk to me."

"Ned. If you want me to talk you have to give me time, ya know." Ned smiled nervously before waving Peter on, "someone took my backpack which would've been fine since it was just clothes but I had brought home my calculator to do some stuff for you know what and I can't get a new phone."

His head hit the table and the rest of lunch was sat in silence.

My churro was a little burnt but it still tasted pretty good so I talked to whoever it was and they're pretty cool. Maybe a tad creepy but if he works at SI then he can't be too bad unless he just said he was working there so I felt comfortable and maybe he's gonna find out I'm Spiderman and everything is gonna go down the drain and shit I'm so stupid.

I jumped off the roof and just fell.

I swung at the last second and worked my way back towards the apartment cause no calculator means homework is gonna suck so this is fine. I'm fine. You're fine. The world is fine. We're cool.
