𝐏𝐀𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐀 𝐆𝐈𝐋𝐁𝐄𝐑𝐓'𝐒 𝐇𝐔𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐘 𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐓𝐎 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐍 𝐀𝐍𝐘𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆. Being one of the few counted humans in Mystic Falls, she clung on to the that for dear life, that and everything that she had always been. With everyone in her life turning into a vampire or dying, staying true to herself and trying to survive was the hardest bur she persevered nonetheless.

Even as a temporarily homeless teenager, she tried to stay positive whilst grieving her dead brother and dealing with how her now humanity-less twin sister burned down their house and casually took residence at the Salvatore Boarding House. Plus becoming her group of friend's therapist whether it was up to her or not, most of them considered her the most stable and often came to her with their problems, that rarely ever outweighed hers.

The brunette reluctantly agreed to stay at the Salvatores as she worked after school at the Mystic Grill to collect money and rent a home, plus paying for her food, seeing as all those who took residence at the Salvatore Boarding House only drank blood, none of them bothered enough to put her needs on the grocery list.

It was but another regular day at the Mystic Grill where she stood behind the counter, bartending when a familiar face strolled in. Klaus Mikaelson, in all his hybrid glory, settling on a barstool in front of her.

"What can I get you?" Patricia asked from behind the bar with a raised eyebrow, "Not that there's anything that you don't have with the fancy liquor stellar in your mansion."

"The mansion doesn't have you or your artistic comments," He shrugged nonchalantly.

"Very flattering," She remarked with a chuckle as she grabbed a bourbon bottle off a shelf, "But I remember you liked Bourbon, too. So that will have to do."

"Well, at least share a drink with me."

"I can't, I am working and even when I am not, I am always sober," Patricia turned it down politely as he rolled his eyes, his smirk still visible, "Sorry, not all of us have your vampire tolerance to alcohol. I am a lightweight."

"You never said that in Chicago."

Patricia chuckled, shaking her head, "Yeah, well I kind of needed that drinks in Chicago. Being in the company of two killer vampires makes you do that."

He went to reply before she interjected, "So, your drink is over... Something else or are you leaving already?"

Klaus raised his eyebrow, "Is my company that bad?"

"Yes, I am sure every other girl would agree with me."

"Actually, some women find me quite charming."

She raised an eyebrow at that, taking his empty glass off the counter. "Why don't I make it up to you? Prove that my company is much better than you claim."

"Why? Why me?" She questioned, crossing her arms over her chest.

"I fancy you, Patricia."

"Really? I mean, why do you fancy me, Klaus?" She asked pointedly, "I am not like you."

"What is that supposed to mean?"

"It means that I am just a human, okay? I don't have your fangs or claws. I can die," She paused, snapping her fingers, "Just like that!"

"And I doubt you would fall for a liability like me."
