Kate followed the instructions meticulously.
The forest was thick but it didn't intimidate her. That was her element.
She loved it.

Except this time she couldn't enjoy a walk in the woods, because she was too worried about her dad.

As she approched the opening that lead into the old property, she looked around carefully, taking in the surroundings.

"Oh my god

"Oh my god..." She was surprised at the sight. There was a beautiful old Victorian gazebo,  surrounded by a huge pond.

The worst came to her mind and she ran to the edge, looking inside the dark waters.

But Bill wasn't there of course, and Kate sighed with relief.

She dialed her dad's number again, trying to get a clue of where he was. The phone kept ringing but Bill wasn't answering.

Kate hang up.

Her feet proceeded forward and soon enough she reached the east end of the greenhouse,  admiring the decaying beauty of it.

"This place..." she said as she looked at the glass building, stepping closer to the entrance.

"This is incredible." As she stood under the doorframe, she rested her right hand on the foggy glass pane, looking inside.

Taking a deep breath she decided to continue. She carefully made her way inside, finding the surrounding unnaturally quiet.
She couldn't hear any crickets, or birds, or whatever animal related noise that was natural to hear when outdoor.

She didn't understand that. The place was in ruin, abandoned. Nature was taking over... why wasn't there any noise?

Moving carefully around the shattered glass, she decided to call her father's cellphone one more time.

And this time, as she moved forward, she heard it.
She had her phone to her hear but at the same time she was hearing her dad's ringtone not too far.

"Dad?" She called for him, now running inside the greenhouse, towards the phone.

She was so sure she was going to find Bill, that she felt her heart stop when he wasn't there.
His phone laid on the floor in berween the leaves that had blown inside the structure through the broken windows.
