Chapter 37: rewind back to the start

I sat outside the closed bus station 1 hour. it was getting dark and it looked like it was gonna rain. just my luck.

I phone had been going crazy ever since the concert finished. I don't want to talk to Michael or even Luke. they would try and convince me to come back but I can't. if they want the best for their band they have to leave me.

Then I got a text from ashton saying "would you talk if it were just me? I'm gonna ring. Please pick up." Just as he said he rang me. It probably wasn't a good idea but I answered it.

"Kya, where are you?" He asked as it started to rain.

"I'm at the bus station and my bus could be here any minute so I can't talk long" I told him.

"Kya, I'm so sorry about what I said, I didn't mean it"

"You may not have meant it but it's very true, Ashton, there would be no drama if I weren't there. im the cause of everything that's gone wrong"

"No your not" he said firmly. almost like he was trying to convince himself at the same time.

"Give me one example of something that's gone wrong that hasn't involved me" I spoke loudly with my voice wavering a bit.

The line went quiet for a while. "all that doesn't matter! Michael loves you and last time you left he was a mess! This time he doesn't know where your going and if you have a roof over your head! Actually we all love you. Your like family to Calum and I. and Luke, well we all know how he feels about you. What's that gonna do for the band?"

I hung up the phone. breath ,Kya, breath. you can do it. don't cry.

(Ashton's POV)

She hung up. "fuck!" I shouted kicking the side of the bus. We've lost her. we actually lost her.

"What's happening?" Luke said popping his head out the door. "is she okay? Where is she?"

"Just get inside, I'll be in soon" I told him. maybe just maybe she'll pick up again.

I filed her number again but this time it went strait to message bank. she turned her phone off!

I walked inside to tell everyone what was going on. that she was gone and there was nothing we could do about it. maybe if we told the fam to keep an eye out for her but they already know something's going on.

Right from the first time I met her I knew she was gonna be a big part of our life's and she was. she was quiet at first but slowly she became more outgoing.

*flashback*

We all heard Michael ask her to stay with us. I couldn't help but notice them two smiling at each other earlier. It was also the first time i had seen her smile. It was a nice change from her blank expression. Which I can understand from her being attacked earlier. I still don't understand how someone could do something like that.

I couldn't hear the rest of the conversation but I saw her nod at Michael which confirmed her staying with us. She gave Michael another small smile before he walked back over to where he was sitting. We stayed quiet until the police left not wanting to disturb them.

(Calum's POV)

Ashton walked inside dripping wet. it was plastered all over his face that he had no luck "guys, I'm sorry" he said and sat down on the floor.

Is she really gone? I can't believe we probably won't see her again. we've been with her through so much.
