promises to the patriarchy

Always. Will I raise my
voice
along with other people
will I shout from rooftops
and scream fiercely and speak quietly
and talk passionately
until our cries and whispers
and hummings
swell into an ocean of power and rage.

And our hands,
a thousand of them,
will rip the skies
apart and shred the
patriarchy to pieces.

I promise.

We'll make you bleed
the same way you
were killing us all this time.

What a pity you failed so horribly at it.

[since this is kind of political, here's a note, that btw applies to pretty much all my poetry: this is poetry not a feminist manifesto (though i'd like to write one of those one day). also, don't confuse myself with the lyrical i (though i love what she's got to say). thank you! as always, i'd like to warmly invite you to express your thoughts and feelings.]
