It was a warm afternoon in Dallas Texas, the sun was just reaching it's peak and a cool, calm summer breeze was blowing. It was a wonderful day for a nice stroll in a park or picnic, if you are a civilian at least. Oscar didn't have that luxury, he wasn't in the position to just drop his work for the day to enjoy the nice weather like a normal person, he had duties that he just couldn't ignore. He sat on the threadbare old sofa in a living room that wasn't technically his, petting a black and white cat who whined every time he took his attention away from it. His mind was wandering as he mindlessly scratched behind the kitty's ear, he found himself day-dreaming of 'the good old days' with his mother in Sweden. Those days were sadly long behind him but at least he still had his brothers by his side, a murderous trio that looks out for each other is better than nothing, but they were still quite annoying since he was the youngest of the three. Otto and Axel fussed a little too much over him in a protective brotherly way, of course it was silent fussing, but it was still a little too much bossy care. As he spaced out to the white noise of Otto vacuuming the car hair covered rug while cussing at the poor creatures, there was a rattling from the fireplace and a small metal can dropped into the soot, spooking Oscar and the cat on his lap. The cat dug in its claws as it jumped from his knee, causing him to hiss in pain and mutter to himself.
"jävla katt"
This small exclamation only lead to him getting glared at by his eldest brother, who was knelt by the fireplace with the can in his hands, Axel slowly twisted off the top and took out the contents. Inside of the canister was a slip of yellowish paper with a typewriter printed message and a black and white picture, the picture was of an unsuspecting young man stacking buckets of paint at a hardware store, the message read 'kill james king'. There was no excuse listed, but then again there never actually was, they just followed the orders without any question to keep the timeline in check. The three silver haired brothers shared a common thought, looking to each other in silent agreement that it was easily a one man job that could be handled with no further threat. Axel looked at Oscar and held out the picture, nodding for him to take it and do this job himself since he was still trying to come up with a way to deal with the other targets that they had been sent previously. Oscar took the picture and prepared himself for this seemingly easy mission, it didn't matter how easy it was though, he was still slightly nervous since it was his first mission alone. He went off to get dressed in his usual disguise before heading out.

"Y/N!"
Dave shouted from behind the till to the young woman in the back room, he saw that hippy lurking outside again and decided it would be for the best if he took his break right now and avoided the man like the plague. Y/N came sauntering to the front of the store with a mug of coffee in one hand, brushing her other hand through her hair to make herself look a little more presentable. She had been working in this paint store for years, it was practically a second home to her with the amount of time she spent there. It paid very well though, so she couldn't complain about the long hours.
"That klaus guy is back"
Dave complained to her, earning a sigh and a sympathetic eye roll from the young woman who had been enjoying her own break in the back, she had only just brewed her cup of coffee. She would have liked to have finished it in the back but she knew how much Klaus freaked Dave out, so she took pity on him.
"Fine. But you owe me one."
Y/N snickered a little, Dave owes her much more than just 'one' and she was saving all of her favours up to eventually ask him to cover a shift for her. He smiled gratefully and quickly headed towards the break room after stealing the mug of coffee, company policy to have no hot drinks in the front of the store.

The shop was quiet, the only noise was coming from people walking by the window chattering with their friends or family or significant other about gossip and the news, mostly about how President Kennedy was visiting in a few weeks time. Y/N sighed, leaning against the counter and flipping through the pages of a newspaper that someone had left out, her attention was only brought back to the real world by the little bell at the door ringing. When Y/N looked up her eyes were met with a quite unusual sight, a young man with silver slicked back hair and a milkman's uniform on, she didn't know that milkmen delivered to stores.
"Can I help you sir?"
She chimed cheerily, turning the newspaper face down so she could keep her page, she brushed down some sawdust from her dark apron. Oscar seemed more lost for words than usual, as his vibrant blue eyes met with her beautiful e/c eyes, he cleared his throat and walked to over to her, looking around to see if he could find the man he was here to eliminate.
"Uh- yes actually"
He spoke in a thick accent, his English wasn't the best but it was good enough to understand, his accent intrigued Y/N. He rested a hand on the wooden counter as he leaned forward a little and tried to look to the back of the store over her shoulder before shifting his gaze back to her, taking in her uniquely beautiful features.
"I-I am painting the kitchen and don't know what colour to use"
Oscar lied, clearing his throat and forcing a smile. Y/N came out from behind the counter, looking up at him with a raised eyebrow and friendly smile.
"I'm sure I can help you find a nice colour... where are you from?"
She asked in complete curiosity, making small talk as she lead him over to a set of shelves with different coloured tubs of paint. Oscar followed her like a lost puppy, completely fascinated by her, she didn't look like she was from Dallas, she looked like she belonged in Hollywood in his opinion.
"Sweden, I moved here when I was a boy"
It wasn't exactly a lie, but it wasn't the truth either. Y/N glanced over her shoulder at him as she lifted down a tub of light blue paint with some struggle, she nearly dropped it before a hand reached over her shoulder quickly and held onto the bottom of the tub to stop it from falling. A deep red blush made her cheeks glow, realising how close he was behind her, helping her not get covered in blue paint. Oscar smiled as he helped set the large paint bucket on a work bench, taking a small step back from her to give her back her personal space. His eyes glanced at her name tag
"Where are you from...Y/N?"
He pronounced her name slightly wrong causing her to giggle, his heart fluttered at the joyous noise, it was so beautifully melodic, like music to his ears.
"Y/N"
She corrected
"Believe it or not..."
She paused and waited for him to fill in his own name for her, He hesitated for a moment before answering.
"Oscar"
She nodded and took note, it was a nice name, it suited him.
"Well, believe it or not Oscar, I'm Dallas born and raised"
She grabbed another smaller tub of paint that was on a lower down shelf, he shook his head a little in disbelief.
"No?"
Y/N glanced at the swede with a smile and friendly eyes, chuckling a little.
"Yes! I'm from Dallas"
"You look like you should be from Hollywood, like the movie stars"
He blurted out without thinking too much of it, his cheeks turning pink after he realised what he had said. Y/N's heart fluttered
"Ah, why thank you"
She beamed sweetly, looking him up and down, he's rather handsome, she thought to herself.

The two spent nearly an hour looking at paint samples for a project that wasn't really going to happen, the store filled with only their laughs and giggles as they just talked with each other. Oscar had almost complete forgotten about his mission, only occasionally looking around to see if the man had shown up yet.
"Y/N, shift change"
Dave called, motioning to the back as the sound of a heavy door opening and slamming shut could be heard, the late shift workers were here. The young woman looked at her new acquaintance and sighed
"Someone else will be out to help you in a minute, I've got to clock out... it was lovely meeting you Oscar"
She spoke his name with kindness as she turned to head to the back room, as she did Oscar grabbed her wrist
"Wait!"
He sounded almost panicked, letting go of her wrist when she turned back around.
"...would you like to go out for dinner one day?"
Y/N rubbed her wrist a little, he has a pretty strong grip evidently, she narrowed her eyes as she looked at him in thought.
"I get off work early on Friday, I'll see you then"
She winked before walking off. The young man was left in complete awe, watching her leave with a new feeling in his chest, a warm and fuzzy feeling that almost made him feel sick. After a moment, the back door opened again and Y/N left with Dave (who was giving her a ride home), the man that Oscar was here for emerged from the back with a scowl, standing at the front desk and looking at Oscar with disdain.
"What do you want."
He sounded really rude. Oscar didn't say a word, he just reached around his back and took out a simple hand gun, shooting the man in the head and fleeing. He heard a scream from the store as he ran, but he didn't turn around to make sure the other person was okay, that isn't his job.

As he ran he thought about how he couldn't wait for Friday, he just had to make an excuse to leave the house so that his brothers would get suspicious, especially Axel. He tried not to worry about that too much for now... all he wanted to think about was Y/N and how perfect she is... is he lovestruck?
